let it snow

There is something so regal when a home is covered in a winter wonderland during the holidays. This home was illustrated earlier this year for a client who contacted me back in January for artwork of her home for her holiday card.

It was so fun to add the wreaths and the Christmas tree on the sun porch.
It was also nice to know that somebody was checking her list early!
Are you ready for snow?
I see some falling outside my window this morning!

  6. Patricia, I so love the watercolor of our house. I've received lots of compliments and have had to photocopy your business card to give to people who have inquired as to the artist. Hope this brings lots of projects your way. My daughter saw the tree on the porch and asked if I had actually put one up. She liked that. Thank you again.

  13. We've had our first dusting of snow already. Odd for Central Virginia. No even enough for a snowball -- the kids were disappointed. We, less so.

    Wonderful, as always, artwork. Tudors look great at Christmas.

    Merry Christmas Mrs. PvE!

  14. Ah your comment are you ready for snow made me laugh. Here in England we've had snow and the country ground to a halt for a few days. But I just love it, the quiet - waking up to a snow covered morning and the fun of snow balls and snowmen!

  18. Beautiful painting!!! I agree a covering of snow cleans everything up and makes it look so beautiful! I'm doubtful we'll get snow in Alabama, but you never know, we did last year.

  22. What a charming scene you created for the homeowner, such lucky people to receive those cards! We had our first snow fall this morning and I love it,,,,now I'm really in the mood to put up the holiday decor. My current house is what I call a 'winter' house,,,it looks best covered in snow. : )

  23. Patricia- We had snow today! And it was cold enough for it to stick to the ground, too. Like a dusting of sugar!

    Got your beautiful note of thanks for the jewelry in the mail today. Such elegant notecards! I may have to write a post on my blog APPLESandRUBIES on your work!
