elves wanted

This image was sent to me last year for a private commission.
A gift from a daughter to her Mother.
While I was working on it, I could not help to think if the client would like to have note-cards printed. Capricious and carefree thoughts come to me while I draw and paint.
Yep, note-cards and a framed work of art.
I love working on holiday cards in January!
I also love keeping a blog as a reminder of how much I love working on holiday cards in advance!
I mean, I would love a staff of elves too, that could keep up with my supernatural powers.
Does December make you want a staff of elves?
Like I told you, capricious and carefree thoughts come to me when I work.

A flock of elves would be great to have! I wish Santa would send some your way to help with all your work too! Lovely doorway - as always!

I have heard this lament before from truly creative minds who have too many ideas and not enough hours in the day to keep up with them all.

We have just finished watching Will Ferrel in 'Elf' as part of our Christmas tradition with the children.
I think perhaps you may need to be a bit more specific when you request help from elves - you know what they say about being careful what you wish for!

Enjoy the weekend,

Gina,
Thank-you. Elves and reindeers and a sleigh too...
A girl can dream, right?
Thanks as always for your dear comments.

Felicity-
Thanks for your comment, true, more hours in the day and a less overzealous me would be a good fit.
I will pace myself and keep in mind specific requests, now excuse me while I give each elf a specific task to be done.

Enjoy your weekend too!

I always wonder where my elves are! And why I can't start on my Christmas cards earlier than December, I'll never know. That's on the long list for today... :-) Hope your elves turn up soon!

What a fabulous gift!! I'm sure that will be a treasured gift and note cards are the perfect accompaniment. I would love some elves. I'm afraid I would abuse them, however:) But boy would it be nice!!

Most definitely, elves are welcome in my home any time of year and particularly during the holidays!

The door is beautiful and so inviting. I would love to be one of your elves so I can watch you create magic and adding smiles to those that receive your art. xo
