Perhaps images of Christmas past will help me to move forward.
Gifts wrapped and out of the way.
The "peepers" will be less tempted!
Cousins comparing University notes. Europe to the States.
A silent night at the creche. I cherish these "santons de provence" from my Mother-in-law.
Each year my son likes to arrange them.
Our tree covered with years of ornaments.
Excuse the blurry photo.
The house feels full of peace when all the Christmassy things are up.
Did I mention these photos are from last year.
The plan is for all this to happen on friday!
Wish me luck.
Your lovely home is definitely feeling the spirit! And I'm sad to admit that you're way ahead of me! Next week will be my time to put things in gear!! That little creche is so sweet!
ReplyDeletePatricia,
ReplyDeleteIt does feel Chritmas-y!!! You have company, I'm still finishing up!
Patricia: I am confident you will make it happen.
ReplyDeleteLove that creche; it is beautiful!
Have yet to get all the decorating done... your pretty pictures are definitely inspiring! Love your creche - one of my favorite memories as a child was to set ours up and now the boys have that job.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck....I hope the holiday spirit catches you. I have really enjoyed my coffee by the tree! Your last year is beautiful, I love a Christmassy tradition.
ReplyDeleteOh, it looks all so wonderful. I love that festive table! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteAre you up to it now???
My tree still sits in the garage and waits for it's festive rebirth!
The children and me home with bronchitis.... everything is at a standstill right now!!!
Hope all is well on your end!

I was hoping to find a Christmas post this morning! so cozy!
ReplyDeleteLove this time of year. Each morning I've been getting up early and sitting by our tree, lights twinkling, alone with coffee. (Sigh) A perfect way to start the day.
ReplyDeleteHa...some of the photos I've used in posts are from last year. This year time as gotten away, plus the kids have had most of the voting power regarding decor this season. It is very creative...I'll leave it at that.
ReplyDeleteJanell
fabulous decorations, it's beginning to feel a lot like christmas, as they say.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely photos! I know you'll get things decked...I'm in the same club, not quite finished. The empty pots on the mantel taunt me every day. Oh well! I hope you have a merry time decking the halls!
ReplyDeleteThose are certainly inspiring!
ReplyDeleteI love looking back on Christmas' past. It helps to give me a guildline...and then I give it an update or a twist.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the creche at The Met? Amazing!
Good luck with your decorating!!! Put on some Christmas music...that always helps me.

Fun to use last years photos as inspiration. Your creche is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBetween your busy schedule and the sawdust, I am sure you will make this Christmas just as special for your family. If all fails sweep the sawdust under the tree for a natural tree skirt. xo
ReplyDeleteHow warm and festive your home looks! I know you can do it all again this week - cannot wait to see photos. You've got the touch - go Patricia! xx
ReplyDeletegood luck! looks lovely. im sure this year will be no different.
ReplyDeleteDon't you love decorating your home during the holidays? We have our tree up and other decorations throughout. Love this time of year!
ReplyDeleteYou made me laugh. I was thinking, gosh, she's so organized...and then I saw this was from last year. Phew! Good luck with Project Christmas!
ReplyDeleteso warm and inviting... I am sure you will get it all done, and if not - leave some decorations for some family to do when they visit. That is always fun.
ReplyDeletePatricia, I'm still sorting through my ornaments and figuring out the greens...definitely wayyy behind! Your home is just lovely. It feels warm, homey and full of Christmas-y cheer!
ReplyDeleteH.H.
Oh, I love seeing a peek into your home. Good luck on decorating this year, I feel very behind. It looks like a Christmas bomb has gone off at my house. I just love your pictures and I love, love, love your large windows. Can't wait to see this years pics:)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lovely Chrismay of the past :)
ReplyDeleteHi Patricia, everything looks lovely. Am trying to get in the spirit myself, the children have put up the xmas tree and a few lights and it does look a bit more festive but I still think that it's friends and family that make it all happen :))
ReplyDeleteLovely! Christmas music always puts me in the mood to decorate. And I always wrap packages while watching Holiday Inn, in which "White Christmas" was introduced.
ReplyDeleteYou're not alone - I was just purusing photos from Christmas past myself in attempt to get myself motivated to start on this years decor. Thanks for sharing your very inspiring Christmassy home!
ReplyDeleteYour home was lovely and christmassy last year and I'm sure it will be even more so this year!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck...play some Charlie Brown, it helps!
