budding art collectors

My client requested "butterflies."
One blue.
One orange.
A budding "pve" art collector!
I love knowing that my work has a young audience and I love that a gift of art will last a lifetime.
Do you have any budding pve collectors?

  2. My daughter, who is getting married June 25, 2011, wants to decorate her home with my photos--not all of it, of course, but some of the walls:)

Ditto for my son who graduates from Northeastern in May 2011.

When I commuted from Western Mass to NYC a few times every week, they would often come with me on my appointments and then we would visit MOMA, the MET, galleries. It was sooooooo much fun!!!

  3. That's is so terrific. I think that you never can be too young to gain a love for art. I have had a few budding collectors, I love it when parents are willing to invest in art for their children.

    Bruce-
congrats to your daughter, how exciting, young love!
...and to your graduate! Lots of good things -around you. Nice to cherish the memories along the way, right with art or a photo or two.

  6. That is soooo cute! I'm sure she will cherish those drawings because she knows they were made just for her. If I have a little girl someday, I'll have to keep your art in mind. :)

  8. love the monarch butterfly, they are just beautiful. I think it is the most wonderful gift for young children. though my parents did do the likes of these, they did have something that we would carry with us throughout our lives and walls- a archival print, old mirror, something of the arts in nature-with the advent of the internet and wonderful artists on etsy this is so much easier to find. I applaud you parents for doing it. I have moved my PVE Moses out into the hallway that I pass about 100 times a day.He is propped up on a large mirror, holding court and watching over the house-thank you again for that special gift Patricia. pgt

  10. My youngest daughter and her cousins got a personal water color painting that a friend of my mother had done for them as a Baptism Gift. They have the same theme but it's interesting to listen when the cousins discuss the differences in their paintings.

  16. That is just too precious! You can tell how much your "young collector" loves those butterflies!

Both my little guys love art - creating it - enjoying it. I hope it is something they always carry with them through life.

I guess you could say I'm a pve collector! And proud to be one!!!!

  18. Eleanor loves her precious butterflies, and it's even better that they were created by "Patricia van Essche!" (it's so cute to hear her say your name with a slight lisp!). Thank you for creating those beautiful works. Eleanor loves creating paintings and wants to be an artist when she grows up (along with being a mommy, scientist, musketeer, etc). Too bad we're so far away for lessons! Thank you again pve!
