One of my children is a "swimmeret."
Give her a pool and watch her swim.
She is a summer fish and loves to swim competively.
I have not added up the hours this summer, but between swim meets and practices, I think this swimmer has probably clocked enough laps to swim to Texas.
The love of pools, chlorine, swim suits, caps and goggles make my little fish very happy. Are you a swimmer or swimmeret?
Today - I wish all the swimmers all the best at The Westchester Swim Conference! Swim fast and have fun!

This post brought back such sweet memories for me! I was most definitely a swimmeret! I miss those days and can't wait to relive them through my future children's chlorine filled summers (and winters!)
She's so pretty...and looks SO like her Mama!
HUGS P...sorry haven't passed by for a while.

She's a beauty, more like a mermaid!

She is beautiful! Funny her suit is the same colors as our boys' team suit. She looks just like a "hornet". Good luck to the swimmers!

Your daughter is a beautiful "swimmeret"! I know you are proud of her. Carla
Not a swimmer, though I have four. I do love the pool. Luck!
She is so pretty! It is so fun when they find something that they love. For me it was never swimming. I used to hide in the locker room during summer sports group.
She looks just like you in this photo!!!! My little guys are not big fishes....but I got in the pool this week to swim laps----that was a first! I'm sure she has added to her medal count! :)
ah, I miss swimming like that! What a great photo of her, so happy by the water :)
Hi Patricia, good to be back here.
Your daughter is gorgeous! Why am I not surprised! (:
Everyone in my family was born with fins, I swear. I am personally a proud land crab.
Hugs to you,

Your swimmeret is so very cute!
I love the pool and to swim, but not to compete. I just enjoy the flow.
Happy weekend!
What a lovely girl! Yeah, that brings me back to many summers ago. Best of luck to her and her teammates at the swim meet!
Like the other commenters, these lovely photographs brought back fond memories of my own childhood summers spent submerged in chlorine. I wish I could still swim as long as I could back then!

Oh the memories - I was also a swimmeret, most definitely - the years of championships when they were at Playland. I secretly hoped that one of mine would swim - and one did, sort of - but not REALLY. Your swimmeret is adorable - hope she and her team did well.
Some children just have gills! I was born into a swimming family, went to work outs at 6:00 a.m. (club, not big time swimming). Its a tough real sport, you work your self to death to miss the next level by 100th of a 2nd. My brothers butterfly drew crowds!! Its fun when you can just enjoy the moment. The smile on her face--priceless. Love is the energy that makes work painless, and you can see she loves what she is doing.
