flags and buntings

I stand at attention every time I see a home all turned out with buntings hung and the American Flag waving hello. American flags have a way of looking so regal, yet so easy and elegant. When European visitors come, they always admire all the flags waving.
Get outside, cut some fresh flowers and look around you and see how many flags are waving hello to you! Happy Fourth of July!
Do you have any flags waving or buntings hung?

  3. Yes! One big one flying outside and several smaller flags in all of my window boxes-inside I have bunches of small flags in my mint julip cups. I love our flag year-round and lots of them! This is a great holiday-Happy July 4th to you and your family!

  4. Hanging my bunting right now, although, this is one of the days I wish our little beach house was white or gray instead of coral pink! Beautiful images, Patricia!

  6. My lilacs grew too tall for the flag to fly over them, so I put small flags (2 in each) in the urns by the front door. I tend to put them up Memorial Day and leave until after the 4th. My dad served in Patton's army. I always think of him when I see a flag waving. Happy 4th to you and to your family.

  8. Beautiful illustration!!
I love the 4th of July. I keep a flag (my late father's flag) flying always in nice weather- I love the symbolism and I love the movement- the way it makes a house "feel"!
    Happy weekened!
