I dropped in on The Sartorialist, and my heart stopped. I love how demure she looks, that is until you see that brave red bag. Love her red head too.
Waiting at a "red" light, I thought how red does stop us in our tracks and give us a minute.
Are you stopping to bring home bits of red, as we are after all in the month of February? Yesterday I bought this candle and a little red treat for a special friend.

Perhaps a little red "bling" is just the thing to warm our hearts during WINTER!

I give you the " Green light" to embrace red for February.
Stop, kick off your heels and take a seat, ponder the color red.
I love red and I'm on the hunt for the perfect red shoes right now!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing red! I have a red bag that I use in December and February, I have red loafers and a short red jacket. Oh-and that wonderful red tin heart hanging on my front door right now- so yes I got the green light to show off my red. I like your new candle and is that your sweet little purse?
ReplyDeleteI hope you catch all green lights today.

Debra,
Show us your red lady! I bet you were a "candy striper" -
Nope, not my red bag, but a little red "bling" would be fun.

What a great post and great minds think alike. I loved that pic too and almost posted on it when I saw that gorgeous red bag. LV I think. I dream of it.
ReplyDeleteKwana,
ReplyDeleteput that red on your dream board or in one of your books.

Perfect for Valentine's day. Red certainly brightens up this dull February weather!
ReplyDeleteI saw that photo too and was entranced! I thought it odd though that a redhead would 'wear' or carry red -most redheads (everyone in my family EXCEPT me!) avoid red at all costs! I guess they think it clashes!
ReplyDeleteLove the dance ideas - thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love the photo from The Sartorialist - that red bag just pops! I would also love to OWN that rug in the last photo - not bright red, but just delicious colors!
Patricia, as you know, red is one of the colors I really adore....
ReplyDeleteI am red-y for February love!!
Actually there is no color I do not like apart from 40's minty green...
:)))
Having a mother who adores red has worn off on me...love the color, especially with fashion...great images! On the lookout for a red Valentines's number!
ReplyDeleteI love the Sartorialist so much! However, I think I am in the minority with the color red here. I can't seem to embrace it...I'll take pink or orange, but red? I don't know...I do adore heart shaped graphics and lately loving anything typography speaking that utilizes the word "LOVE"!
ReplyDeleteHope ery cool - love the red! Loving February...
ReplyDeleteI am definitely drawn to red! I just can't seem to get enough of it in my decor. I've been trying to incorporate it more into my wardrobe, as well. It's definitely not a shy color...
ReplyDeleteBest,
Tara
So true Patricia, I have a red painted end table and I may go ahead and paint my oriental stacking tables. They are now a dark wood;stain a deep red!
ReplyDeleteThat red bag is to die for!!!! And our red room is one of my favorites - so cozy!
ReplyDeleteThat photo from the Sartorialist makes my heart stop a bit too :) I adore red at this time of year; we really need that pop of color.

ReplyDeleteI love the red heart. And I love your site too! You've inspired me to start painting again. You are so talented.

Love the post, as a brown eyed brunette I was dressed in red constantly as a child. I think that I am ready to re-embrace! (at least while I am still brunette!)
ReplyDeleteI love a great oxblood red, and have it as my accent colour in my house...with brown...yummy! Love the jacket in the first shot...so posed. Now you need a post on green!...this one was lovely :)
ReplyDeleteBest,
Michelle
when I see red, I feel warm..and in February..that's a good thing! :)
ReplyDeleteLove all this red inspiration! Got your comment on my blog (emilyjanowiak.wordpress.com), and checked out your site. You have wonderful drawings! I'd love to give you more info about my work and find out more about yours as well...perhaps we can swap features about each other on our blogs. :)
ReplyDeletemuch agreed! my mom always told me when i was having a bad day to wear something red -- that it would make you feel strong enough to face anything.
