little dippers

The Beach Boys
pve design illustration, little dipper, the surfer girl
There is something synonymous about Spring Break and some sort of surf. That first plunge or "dip" into the water is so luxurious. As Spring Break approaches, my mind is full of images of little dippers running towards the sandy beaches with boogie boards or surf boards to ride the wave and watch the stars.

What are your plans for your Spring Break?

  1. Very cute illustration Patricia. In a couple of weeks I'll be at the south shore for a few quiet days of respite on the beach. Reading, biking, walking~ I'm counting the days!

  3. Love it! My daughter is in love with the idea of surfing right now because of the new Barbie movie, Barbie and a Mermaid's Tale.
I'm in the middle of my husband's spring break and we are taking it easy. Next week is Eleanor's! I see a visit to Two Toot's (a cool Train diner for kids of all ages) and hopefully time outside on walks! You never know in IL!

  4. We don't have children, so we don't have an "official" Spring Break. However, I love taking extra time in my garden to extend my welcome to the wee ones sprouting up. :)

  5. No spring break, at least, not a formal one, but looking to head out and spend time outside. Barbara Ann was my favorite Beach Boy song--could it be because my
    name is Barbara.
    Have a great day, PVE.

    Kathleen-
Who says you need children to watch for the little dippers! I am a child at heart and my kids tell me all the time how weird I am. Guess that is a good thing.

  14. the surfer girl is great... I'm envisioning her prancing onto some notepads! We are headed to Amelia Island, for a grande Easter Egg hunt next Friday! Can't wait to dip my toes into the warm (hopefully!) Florida surf.

  15. love spring but our 'breaks' are husbandless as he is a CPA and always in the throes of tax season at break. Son and I travelled to CT for the last two years to visit my sis which is kinda strange since we are on the east coast and MUCH warmer here at home! Enjoying your blog and for months, have enjoyed your headers designed for others. Lovely work....

  17. cute surfer girl Patricia! Visited the Texas Hill country for Spring break & stayed at a bed & breakfast in Fredericksburg. We were there just 2 days & I brought my laptop but to my surprise, I didn't even turn it on & I usually can't live without it...I just loved our adorable little cottage.

  20. Your little dipper is so adorable in her yellow outfit!

I have my fingers cross next year, will be my turn to take a little dip somewhere (the date has been set for this year, a little late spring break in May in a new wing at the hospital- ouch), but for now I'm dog sitting Riley while her family is on vacation and enjoying her company. xo
