speak up

"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."

-Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

This weekend is a three day weekend as Monday is Martin Luther King Day. Take time to speak up and make your voice heard. Make a list of what matters and tell those around you.
No silent treatment, just express yourself and get it off your mind and off your chest.

  1. I'm all for that- getting things out in the open. It's bad for your health to hold things in. What a sweet wall sticker. Have a wonderful weekend. Hmmm...fondue, I haven't made that in a while. Maybe next weekend.

  5. Love both quotes. I agree its good to express yourself, but I have to remind myself to do it in a way that isn't too negative.

I just saw a picture of MLK and was struck by how young he truly was! what a waste to have died so young.

  15. I have been listening to MLK's speeches all day - what an orater he was! Sadly, his words are eerily as true today as they were in the 1960's. Thanks, as always, for a thoughtful post.

  17. We all seem to have so much time for idle chatter but so much less for those things that can make a difference. Also, a belated thank you for your lovely comments. I would love an illustration of BF - what do I need to do? Leigh
