"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."
-Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
This weekend is a three day weekend as Monday is Martin Luther King Day. Take time to speak up and make your voice heard. Make a list of what matters and tell those around you.
No silent treatment, just express yourself and get it off your mind and off your chest.
"just words" wall sticker found on etsy
I'm all for that- getting things out in the open. It's bad for your health to hold things in. What a sweet wall sticker. Have a wonderful weekend. Hmmm...fondue, I haven't made that in a while. Maybe next weekend.
ReplyDeleteMe too! Tell it like it is kinda girl! Have a wonderful long weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely wall decal and food for thought
ReplyDeleteI especially love the quote ...
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend!
Love both quotes. I agree its good to express yourself, but I have to remind myself to do it in a way that isn't too negative.
ReplyDeleteYes! That is an incredibly wise sentiment from Dr. King (and from you!).
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely the best! Being such a lover of WORDS and LOVE and HONESTY, I need this wall sticker!
ReplyDeleteSo true, Dr King was an amazing man. The words on the wall are beautiful also.
ReplyDeleteHello! I just found your blog and am looking forward to reading and learning more :) Excellent quote - need to me reminded of that often. Hope you having a nice weekend!
ReplyDeletei never heard that before.
ReplyDeleteI just saw a picture of MLK and was struck by how young he truly was! what a waste to have died so young.

I have been listening to MLK's speeches all day - what an orater he was! Sadly, his words are eerily as true today as they were in the 1960's. Thanks, as always, for a thoughtful post.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration. I needed to hear this now.
ReplyDeleteWe all seem to have so much time for idle chatter but so much less for those things that can make a difference. Also, a belated thank you for your lovely comments. I would love an illustration of BF - what do I need to do? Leigh
