Auguste Escoffier, a legendary French "haute cuisine" chef and culinary writer, wrote and prepared the first "Cherries Jubilee" for Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee Celebration in 1887. Other notable dishes to his claim, are Peche Melba as well as Melba Toast!
Design your day around something you love. Prepare or create a day full of goodness and it will surely make your life like a bowl full of cherries. Live life as if each day is "jubilee" worthy!
Oh yes! Except that there are no cherries around! It's a beautiful still life though! Have a wonderful Sunday!

Around here life is a big bowl of Clementines. They are so good this year, that we can't seem to get enough of them. The little ones were here last evening for a pizza party {and there was dancing} they left with a basket of them.
ReplyDelete:) LOVE cherries, my family's summer cottage is in Door County, WI (Door County and Mackinack Island are the two preppy locales of the Midwest for summer homes). DC is known for it's cherry orchards and cherries will always be near and dear to my heart :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday

ReplyDeleteWe had cherries last week. This week our bowl is full of oranges. I just love their taste and the scent of the zest reminds me of my Father.
