Picture this, my daughter would be jumping on the bed and my dog would have absconded with all the room service bacon. My teen sons would still be looking for shut eye in the adjoining room. Dorothy Draper really did know how to add a ray of golden sun and a dollop of cream to a room. I am in love with these footstools at the foot of the beds. Hope you are having a picture perfect morning? Care to share your morning picture?

The room is great, but your description is better, " Draper really did know how to add a ray of golden sun and a dollop of cream to a room"! You're a delightful wordsmith!
Starting my morning with you and a fresh cup of coffee~ I think that's pretty special. Yes-those stools are sweet- I see them covered with a bright cherry red corduroy...all things Christmas right now!
A very relaxing image, and yours gave me the giggles.
Our household is small my love, Kelly and me yet some of my visions of a kodak moment turns out from a scene from animal house, but we are having fun. LOL..
I love D. Draper's style! And you're exactly right- "a ray of golden sun and a dollop of cream"!
That phrase made my day. Thank you!!
The scary thing is that I am old enough to remember decorating like this......somewhat vaguely but still!Such a civilized morning meal. Xo
Love this image. My morning picture? Grumble, grumble, coffee stat.
The footstools are incredible -- I'm seeing them in navy blue with Les Indiennes fabric. That's my picture perfect!
My coffee made in a French Press a dear friend gave me. The image evokes another era when families ate their meals together. I wonder what the percentage of that occurring now would be?!
I love that photograph and can easily say that looks nothing like us in the morning. I would die if someone wanted to capture us in the a.m.!
I love this image! My school mornings are a bit more fast paced than this...still though there was time for some lego ship building before and after oatmeal...
Beautiful image this is!
Mine would have to include a pile of books - and a calendar with nothing listed for the day!
Add three more children and a lot of chaos and it would be much more like one of my mornings. I do love the Greenbrier. It's lovely at Christmastime!
