saturday shopping

Suddenly a trip to the market suddenly would be so much more fun with this bag from Rosy Little Things. You can make your own with the "Jane Market Bag" Pattern. Do you have a stylish shopping bag for your trips to the market?

  1. I have a snazzy colorful bag from the Museum of Art in Phila. that I use for grocery shoppping. It adds alittle fun and helps in recycling.

  2. Toooo many bags. I use all of my grocery bags from Whole Foods whenever I go to the market. Then I have a nice collapsable tote given to me by a friend and oodles of canvas bags. I use a large leather purse/bag for more personal shopping...have fun.

  3. A happy bag! Love the combination of fabrics.
Usually I shop with my reusable Trader Joe's bags. They are so colorful and big enough for a round at the market.

  5. I just love shopping bags, canvas tote bags, rollaway bags etc. They keep me organized and the colors make shopping fun. I've designed and sewn many and I still love them all. This bag is lovely!

  6. Oh how I love that image and the bag! I've been collecting recycled shopping totes during my travels but they are just regular market bags. Most of mine are from Whole Foods and Target but I've also acquired some from local stores in New York, Pennsylvania, Italy, Switzerland and Canada. They are pilled up in the backseat of my car!

Great post and happy weekend to you PVE! :-)

  12. Adorable! Love the colors.

I have a bag addiction. Before running out anywhere, I usually grab one of many that are hanging in our laundry room closet. The choice always depends upon mood, color, and functionality.

  13. Great bag! I bring these nylon bags that roll up small and snap closed (I think they are called envirosax). They are great because I can toss them in my purse and I always have them for errands.

  17. During our last trip to the South of France, I found an exquisite weaved basket with gorgeous leather handles. The lady who was selling them had just finished making this particular bag, and I couldn't resist it. Since I returned home, this bag goes everywhere with me!

  23. What a cute bag. I must make me one. I reuse "Trader Joes" paper bags, and a few canvas boring bags for grocery shopping.

We must look cute even at the grocery store, right?

I have lots and lots of interesting fabric piling up...so I'm hoping to make up some totes for the holidays. I need to get sewing this weekend. Ugh! Where does the time go...

  26. 4 years ago I picked some great BlueQ Dick & Jane totes from a market stall in Boston. I use them constantly & as they aren't available here in the Land of Oz, I'm constantly quizzed about them. Its one of those 'if only I'd had a dollar for every time....' moments! I adore your featured 'Rosy'!
