over the top topiary

Imagine coming home to these whimsical shrubs.
Imagine a royal family of elephants on your lawn. Why you would be the envy of the neighborhood.

If you could select any sort of topiary in any shape, what might you choose?

The light may not be perfect... but PvE~ wouldn't that last make the most perfect little studio?
To go with my traditional cape- I would want star topiaries on each side of my front door entry.

These are great! I don't know what I'd pick. Maybe my dog with a big "beware of Yorkie" sign.

I would have horses and dogs playing. The elephants are simply divine.

I would like two giraffes: one adult and its calf(?). I adore giraffes!

good question. the elephants are pretty fantastic, but i'd probably like something that wasn't at first what it seemed....like maybe a group of big oak trees or weeping willows. trunk and all that were topiaries would be just the right amount of whimsy.

I've given up on topiaries and would settle for someone—someone else—to keep my various yew hedges well trimmed! Having said that I'd like to have a topiary house as a true garden room. I've seen pictures of these. Amazing. Of course at 60, I might need a life extension to see this come of age!

There's a house here in Maryland that has a whole fox-hunting scene in topiary. Also some waves with swans a-swimming, and windows cut into the hedges with swagging on top. WAY cool!

To live with day after day, I would choose classic rounds and geometrics for my topiaries. The one exception would be a well detailed Eiffel Tower shaped shrub, just as big and obvious as you please!

it's hard to 'top' the elephants ~ they are too great!
mmm, wonder if a topiary of a feather would work ...

Wow how sweet are those elephants. My sister just got back from Africa and made sure to fill her camera with elephants pics just for me!

When my daughter was little on the way to her sitter's every day we passed shrubs sheared into elephants their trunks and tails connected.... whimsical and magical. I think I would love one that could actually be used for our backyard feathered friends. So a birdhouse would be cool.

A Bill Watterson (of Calvin and Hobbs fame) snowman house of horrors topiary, hidden around a corner somewhere as a surprise might be fun. I love Calvin's crazy snowmen!
