While I was at the sketch night, I was fascinated by those around me, lost, deep in their thought, or the act of capturing the live model. I turned to my left and there was this young man looking so determined to sketch, to get it all down on paper. It was his bright taxi cab yellow tee-shirt and red hi-tops that caught my eye - and the slouch of his body gave off a casual air.
I snuck this sketch in which made me happy today. Do you enjoy observing those around you and getting a sneaky peak?

    What a great subject..he turned out terrific. I love to observe others; just sitting sipping something & watching the world go bye.

    I am SUCH a people watcher! I'm constantly being yelled at by friends for not paying closer attention to them. As a little boy my grandparents would take me to the nearby international airport (long before airport security) and we would sit with snacks and just watch people walking by. Always such happy memories!

    Wow! I feel like I know him, just from your sketch. I love it! I especially love the yellow and red - two of my favorite colors.

    Oh yes, I love to people watch and imagine what they are up to!! My favorite people watching location is Las Vegas.

    This is so great! Fun colors. Did you let him in on the secret?

    I enjoy sitting back and watching people. When time allowed when I worked at OHare I would love to sit back and watch people wondering what was behind catching the next flight.

    Love to people watch. And since, like a few posted here, am not the artist, I have always looked at those who could draw as magicians. I love to people watch in museums where the young and intent sketch and dream.

    I enjoy catching a sneaky peak of my daughters...just having an opportunity to gaze at them when they don't notice is a small gift. Their relaxed faces, gentle hearts and beauty is joyous.

    You captured this young man beautifully...without knowing him I feel as thought I actually know a little.

    I like to people glance. Elderly people are especially charming, so comfortable in their own skin, with their own sense of grace.

    People reading or thinking is another favourite.

    you nailed it, I do think he was frustrated, as when I glanced back at him, his paper was completely full of black - as if all his emotions had been laid out on that paper.

    You have truly captured the spirit of this boy Patricia - I want to quietly walk up behind him & put my arms around his neck & look at what he's doing, just as I do with all our boys! I'm with Pamela T.- may the day never come when I stop eyeing off the people around me!
