A view of the Hudson River, in eastern New York, that flows from the Adirondacks, 350 miles down to New York, out to the Atlantic. Welcome to my corner, my river, not far from my home, not far from the "Big Apple."
I am full of gratitude for the glory of nature and my corner.
Take me to a river in your corner or any body of water.
Wonderful photos of the river. To view a bay of water first thing in the morning is so magical as the sun starts to shine and glimmer over the water like tiny diamonds floating on top.
ReplyDeleteIf there is magic on this planet, it is contained in water.

The Hudson has cast a spell on me, it's magical in all sorts of light, the sunset, storm clouds or the mist on an early summer morning!
ReplyDeleteMy spots: Irvington waterfront park or Hastings on Hudson, we go there so often to picnic and just to enjoy the beautiful views!
Crossing Tappan Zee get's me every time...
Lovely photos!
And yes to Wave Hill!!!

Water always has that soothing effect on me, I miss San Diego for that and my friends and family there. I will take photos the next time I am at the Lake of the Ozarks, my brother and sister in laws condo has an unbelievable view!
ReplyDeleteThe Hudson River School would be proud of you. I am intrigued how light and water is seen in different parts of the world. Thanks for the moody blues/grays.
ReplyDeletepve- today on my corner- 100 degrees predicted, shutters stay closed, dogs still, cool air non existent. A less than idyllic Hudson River School painting, possibly Outsiders could do the day proud.Enjoy your view and the weekend. la
ReplyDeletegorgeous! there's just something about water... so peaceful. beautiful photographs! thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your corner of the Hudson. The water makes you breath slower.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. I love the water and it looks so peaceful and wise here, so serene...
ReplyDeleteSo lovely and peaceful - you certainly captured it in that photo.
ReplyDeleteMy place on the water is Siesta Key Beach (see my blog and the water view from our lanai - we go there every weekend). SO VERY peaceful and calm in the morning to wake up to that view and then take a walk on the beach. The beauty sometimes can take my breath away - especially at sunset and early mornings...
Always love your blog, Patricia.

All I could show you is the muddy water from my gardening this morning :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to live where you do! Enjoy!
BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea Patricia...I'll have to take a pic and post it.
ReplyDeleteYour corner of the world IS amazing!!! The best of both.
These photos are so peaceful. I just found your lovely blog by way of Prairie Girl Studio. It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat is exquisite. You are so lucky to be there. My shady watery nook would be the Thames. On a cool summer day, where one can take a break and sit with a dear friend, sketch book or just a camera and a bowl of strawberries.
ReplyDeleteThe Hudson is gorgeous.
mmm ... lucky girl you are ... what a serene place to be ... to look out over that body of water and watch as it plays in the winds and reflects the sky and light ... sun and moon ...
ReplyDeletewe live between two rivers but need to hike or bike the valleys to reach them ... the awe of their quiet or their power can be humbling ...
thanks as always,
