I forgot blue doors when I listed all the colors I like the other day. I can't help but think of William Thacker's (Hugh Grant) blue door in the movie Notting Hill.
I love your illustration and I have a love for doors. When I was in Ireland I too a ton of pictures of the different doorways. Started to here Germany has unique doors just not as colorful.
Beautiful doors add so much interest to any building. When we were at All Saint's Chapel in Sewanee, TN last weekend, we were enthralled by the gorgeous doors leading into the sanctuary. Built in the 1880's, the workmanship is amazing!
Your drawings gild the lily! I too have always loved entrances, brownstones, walls, and fences. Love to go walking at night and seeing just the decor illuminated inside a house. Painting my front porch wicker furniture black .... still thinking about a black door.... hmmm.

I am forever taking pictures of doors! Love them! I live right outside Charleston SC and will sometimes just go downtown to take more pictures of doors!

I consider doors to be the voice/mouth of the home, they reveal the soul space. There's a great book called: The Language of Doors by Paulo Vicente and Tom Connor. It's a small book and worthy of adding to your library.

I have a collection of about fifty doors I have photographed during my travels. I love them. I also have a number thing...
Our town has a poster of doors frm our community--a mosaic about 6x6 but the doors all together make a incredible composition!
Love doors...One of the things that drew us into the shore house (literally!) was the original wood door, never painted, in all its glory.
Doors, windows and pathways, all a reminder to stop, see and move forward.

My own front door is quite large and heavy with an oval cut top and full beveled panes. Very European looking. Totally love it!

When we were in Luxembourg and Belgium a couple of years ago, I saw so many wonderful doors and I just had to take pictures of them. My hubby thought I was weird, but I didn't care!!
