How happy as a clam would you be to spend an evening here, sharing New England Clam Chowder and happy conversation? I have always loved homes that are the perfect shade of buttery yellow. What color makes your home happy as a clam?
Posted another small illustration ;) These past few days am happy as a clam when i see all the poppy fields in bloom. I makes me want to get my red water colors and just go crazy!
Even though my fav color is green, I always lean toward blues in my home. I think it's a subconscious allure being it was the predominate color used in my pateranl grandmothers home, which my dad has carried into his homes and I have continued with the tradition. Guess I'm a third generation "blue".
I've always wanted to live in a big yellow house. Yellow is my favorite color for decorating. Apparently it was when I was a little girl - my mother says that when I was four, I told her that "every room needs a touch of yellow."
Our indoor colours are white, magnolia and cream, a frame for the lovely people that reside or visit. The outside a dark wood that invites because of the large chalet-like proportions. I nust say I'm more than partial to a white Nantucket frontage with long curtains bellowing out towards the sea.
it's funny, for so long I never thought I could live with yellow. But now, through the magic of blogs, I really love a soft, buttery, chamois cloth yellow exterior.
My childhood home was yellow and white, my last job was in a yellow and white house too. I currently live in a yellow, gray and off white house. My interior colors are blues, and muted shades dusty rose, ecru, off white.
Yellow and blue/gray remind me of denim jeans and a yellow shirt, comfortable, casual and relaxed.
Lovely picture! After growing up in a hippie household with a plethora of patterns and colors, I strive to keep things about 75% white. It calms me and keeps things simple. Loving your blog!
Beautiful house illustration, I love yellow homes with shiny black doors. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteVanilla stucco with a persimmons front door and black wrought iron balconies.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I would love a gray house with a purple front door.

Lovely illustration! I always like light blue in my bedroom, and Benjamin Moore "Fernwood Green" and "Manchester Tan" somewhere.
