supreme (style) court

pve design - illustration for one with supreme style of the court.
Each day, one of my favorite jaunts is to visit a spot with supreme style, "Queen" of the
style court if you will.  Often it is those who I admire not only for their ability to post often, but to be so passionate about what they love.  Many of you know style court already, but for those of you who do not, take a caravan, a rick-shaw, or carrier of choice to visit.  There you will find a bit of art history, a collection of art, some vintage books and style that pays homage to another era.
The above sketch, I illustrated for style court, just for fun, just because she inspires me and takes me to a far away world full of intrigue.  Oh, yes, you know who you are, and there are others out in the blogosphere that inspire me to keep illustrating, and not surrender my desire to draw.  I thank each and every one of you for inspiring me to create and to connect with individuals who are engaging, well-read, passionate, on a pursuit to live an artful life.  What blogs motivate you or inspire you to do your best?

I *love* your elephant and the attention to detail, the clever references which encapsulate the amazing Style Court. I am envious of your witty illustrative style which adds distinction to so many of the best stylish authoritative blogs. My favourite is Emily Evans Eerdman's - the way you have incorporated her initials in a key pattern. Bravo!

Heidi-
"Ernie" will love this! She will be here thursday and I will gather her info! Thanks so much.

Rose-
Thanks, I had a really rough morning, so I needed to lose myself in a drawing which is really the reason why I love to find wit, to create something that will cause one to smile in a chic sort of way. I guess you could say I am obsessed with cleverness of interpretation of lifestyles. You must know what I mean, to find the humor in little things.

great art work...what blogs inspire me I like a wide variety, art, decor, food, family, humor really anything. I think of it has my magizines or little books. My husband said you don't read that much anymore and I was like oh yes I do short stories in the dozens everyday. Takes me far away places as well.

Love the Style Court imagery -
One of these days... I'm going to hire you!

To answer your question about what inspires...

You do!!

I see your illustrations of beautiful homes and I pull out my pens to draw. They never will have the look of yours - but you keep me trying!!

Window displays are quick to inspire - (wouldn't that be a fun job to be a window designer?)

COLOR in nature- Art - always inspires me.

Travel - I like making up stories about new places & people I meet - trying to imagine what their life is like.

I always find inspiration through photography - usually more with others, than my own -there is always much to be found on flickr and such.
