timing

There is a time for everything.  After the long weekend, it is my time to paint and to focus on completing  work and my dream to illustrate an exquisite book. In the above photo, do you see an hourglass. I have it near me, given to me by a dear friend.  It reminds me that time is valuable as well as timing.  Do you believe in timing and being at the right place and time?  If given the opportunity to pick a time and place, where might you be now?

    hmmm.... great question. The answer is: on a beach in Greece. With everything that comes with that :-)

    I do believe in being in the right place at the right time. OK since this is pretending- to go back to my 20's with the knowledge I have today.

    Sure time is so important and you do need to be in the right place at the right time and prepared for that time. As for this time right now? Today? It's the perfect time for our new day and president. A great time for our country. A good time for all of us.

    As for me I'd like to be in a warm spot looking at warm blue water. It's so cold. Brrr!

    I don't know that I would want to be at any other place than where I am now: I'm at the breakfast table with two wonderful little people--covered in cereal and bananas! Life is good.

    (Now for the fantasy: I'd love to be at the breakfast table at Blackberry Farm again--with the babes there too!)

    Haha..I thought your hourglass was an empty glass of wine at first glance.

    I definitely believe in the power of timing. But I probably wouldn't transport myself for fear of messing up what has gone right in my life out of desire to fix what went wrong. As much as possible, I try to focus on tomorrow rather than yesterday.

    I would love to be in CA visiting my brother, his wife and my little niece. And I would like to tap into my creative side again, as it feels forgotten! What a wonderful dream you're working on. Time is precious and now is the time.

    In Paris with my husband. Strolling the streets, hand in hand, filling my head with visions of endless inspiration. Then it's off to a shoot to interview an amazing designer who has just completed the design her own country home. Business and pleasure, such a stimulating combination.

    I do believe in timing, mostly the right kind which takes patience and usually finds its way into our lives when least expected. That's been my experience, at least.

    Yes, being in the right place at the right time. However I believe more importantly to be open always to the possiblities and to keep moving forward a step at a time! I love the winter for settling in and painting more because I can't always go out and play after work!

    Gorgeous pic. I'm definitely a big believer in timing, and I often muse about how different everything could be if the timing were just slightly off. Interesting.

    i agree, timing can make it or break it -- i do believe in serendipity too. a more magical description. hmm, i'd also be right where i have been today, watching the historic events with my little gal. or perhaps watching it in some cosmopolitan city dressed to the nines!

    Your topic reminds me of that great Steven Wright joke in which he sits down in a restaurant advertising "breakfast anytime" and orders "pancakes during the Renaissance."
