on the ice

"On Ice" - Illustration by pve design for A.Tierney
Positively polar today, as the temperatures dip, the snow is falling and school is delayed for a few hours, so we have a fire in fireplace, the cocoa is ready and I feel as though I am literally in the rink ready to roll with the punches that the day brings.  Anyone feeling on the brink with all this frigid weather?  I would love to be on a warm sunny beach rather than on the ice.  How about you?

A warm beach would be nice, but I would take warm feet at this time. LOL... It is so cold I can't even image how it is outside.

Your illustration is beautiful as always and brights my day!

A lit fireplace right about now sounds good. I'm off to warm up. Have a golden one!

PVE~ After a few more days of this cold snap and several more months in store I'll be ready for a beach get-away. It's funny how one small snip in a day can change the whole pattern. Now you have your kids there, sipping cocoa by a fire- what a warm and cozy picture you paint. I'd prefer that over ice-skating right now. I love your illustration.

a warm sunny beach at this moment would heal the frostbite from waiting at the bus stop. :-)

It is below o in Kansas City today! I am taking Isabella Ice Skating on Saturday so I hope it warms up a tad. Cocoa and a fire to warm by. Grilled cheese sandwiches, Popcorn. I don't mind the seasonal changes, it is just such an adjustment!

I love the gesture and colour in your dwgs :) This one really implies movement...

Wouldn't it be great to get away? I would chose the Maldives or Bahamas...

I like the way cold weather brings together the family...with the car being snowed in, and all!

We got a couple of boardgames for Christmas; a good times to open them :)

Patricia- yes I ordered the "Bob's Uncle" book right after you posted yours. I love it! Thank you for sharing. I was hoping you would have noticed. I thought the colors matched the candles perfectly. Hugs...

The beach would be heavenly today. I'm getting tired of cleaning the car and driveway before going out.

milly-
the problem I have if you really want to know are not enough hours in the day to paint all that I visualize.
I see in my drawing style if that makes any sense.
I see the world like that.

Great painting...anyway, I'm not ready for the beach - almost, but the cold is nice.

I have to say, love the cold! Love coats, scarves, gloves, and furry dogs that love to be walked. I also love this illustration. I can almost see the skaters moving.

I love your ice skating dream delight.

Hot cocoa and a fire sounds pretty fun. We're also burning our fireplace here at the beach.

Can I come to your house for coco in front of the crackling fireplace. That is one of the benefits of cold weather, hot coco doesn't cut it in the summer!

Ooh it's cold here for us, but nothing like it is in New York! Still we're bundled up in our uninuslated drafty old house ha ha.
I gave you a teeny mention in today's posting. I think of you everyday when I look at my PVE works of art.
