looking back

Last week, a dear friend that I had the great pleasure of working with many years ago, posted this great photo of the design team at Calvin Klein circa 1990.  I am seated next to the two gentleman wearing glasses with the sweater over my shoulders.  It seems so odd to think how time moves and in many ways this seems like yesterday, yet also like a lifetime ago.  Do you take time to look back?

  1. So. Very. Beautiful. And the body language so indicative of time, place, and youth. I didn't know you worked there - in what capacity?

  2. so true, I worked for American Airlines in another life and when someone posts pics of us with our silk foulard neckbows and scrunchies I cringe and smile simultaneously!

  5. You look so very Calvin Klein-y! If you stepped out of the photo and into 2013, you would still look as polished and classic, without a hint of retro!
I love/hate to look back for all the same reasons most people do!

  9. Well, yes, I seem to be looking back a lot of the time. I think it happens increasingly as we age. In a good way. The walls of our master bathroom at Darlington are covered with old black and white group photos, some of which I appear in, and others picked up at junk shops over the years. Just this past weekend I spent several minutes searching for my face in a group photo taken of the school I attended in England one year as an exchange student. It took me forever to find myself. It was taken in 1975, long, long ago.

  10. Reggie,
It also took me forever to find myself because I may look different now, but my younger spirit still is very much alive. As always, I love your comments.
