gingham gang

I have a gingham shirt that I could wear every day.

Always thought one of these beds would be fun to have.

Have you heard of Swedish luxury bed maker Hastens? Each bed is made to order according to the customer’s specifications and takes between 140 and 160 hours to make which is why their mattresses are super luxurious and out-of-this-world expensive and according to them, “an investment in a better quality of life.” And to boot, they’re adorable in gingham.  Nighty night

Love this little fella tucked into his gingham sleeping bag and ready for bed found here.

So, I ask you - Is gingham all of the sudden hip or classic?
Would you wear it or sleep with gingham?

  1. When I was traveling to meet my future in- laws for the first time... A bit nervous. I asked my then future husband- "what should I wear?" He said, 'just wear checks and it will be fine'. And it was...... Love anything in checks.

  2. Debra,
It's funny, I was wearing checks when I met my in-laws too, but I had on red tights too. Hmmm. 25 years married - and my in-laws still love me. Check.
    My husband too. Check.

  4. For me, this comes and goes....for a while, it felt too "country". Of course now it feels classic and fresh.

  5. I have a black and white gingham shirt from J. Crew that I wear all the time, it really is my #1 favourite piece of clothing.

My inlaws are Swedish and they think Hãstens is considered the ultimate mattress to own. I got to try one out while staying at a hotel in London, but unfortunately, it was way too soft and I felt like I was being engulfed in a marshmallow. Maybe a firmer one would have been better.

  9. I am a fan. Love to wear it too. But I simply adore it when used for table cloths or window treatments...

  10. Hip AND classic. My Ann Mashburn gingham popovers are worn all year round--with sweaters in the winter and with sleeves rolled up in summer! Always loved that bed too, but it would break my heart to have to cover it up with sheets.

  14. It used to seem a little too country to me but now it seems classic which means it's probably back in style. I like it! :)

  16. How darling you must have looked to your future in-laws :) This pattern is perfect for springtime and you can dress it up or down. I used to have a blouse and I'm not sure what happened to it! I need to find one in blue and white ~ so cute!

  18. I love gingham, but the size of the checks is really important. Large = chic; small = country.
