Last friday, we had a snow storm which caused the start of school turn from a two hour delay to a snow day. My daughter was not cleared to return to school until monday, so we took the weekend off to spend time playing in the snow. We built snowmen and I paid tribute to our dog with a snow dog sculpture. I sent a photo to my son (at University) and he replied that I should think of adding snow art to my portfolio. One thing for sure is that snow is motivating. It does not last forever and has a melting point.
Can you think of something that requires your attention or motivation due to time constraints, budgets or limits of sorts? I can hardly wait for the next snowfall to sculpt and build snow art.

Love your snow dog Patricia! We've received a foot of snow for the last six weeks, no more snow please. It was close to fifty two days in a row and I love watching the snow melt.

Well, yes, as a matter of fact, we had a sunny 60 degree day over the weekend (rather than the 40ish temps and rain we've had for a lllllong time here in Oregon) so we gathered some friends and grilled chicken and steaks, had a pasta salad, some beans and sweet potatoes and enjoyed a picnic while we could. We wore sweatshirts - but still had fun!
Thanks MJH-
I was so much fun to play in the snow.
Made me feel like a little kid.
Sad it melts, but the sunshine feels so good too.

Very impressive Patricia...it could be come a new line of work!!! I am happy you had a nice time with your daughter and that she is doing better.
Enjoy today's lovely weather! xoxox
Before I read, I was thinking is it me or is that a dog in that snow? Haha...very good snow sculpture!
Have a great week Patricia!
So cute. Wishing your girl all the best on the way back to school! But please no more snow. I'm ready for flowers!
Snow can be so much fun. I choose not to battle it but admire its shapes. Then there is the hand of the designer who casts form to the formless.
Yes - making dinner for the boys as soon as we come home. If it's not done quickly, they get to their boiling/melting point... Love your snow dog and wonder if he pulls sleds!?

I was going to title this post "mush" because when all the snow melts, the mud becomes mushy~

Oh, that is really good, Patricia!! I feel like everything needs my time and attention lately. And, I've been saying "yes" a lot lately. Gotta hit the brakes so I don't overload yet again.
Hope A is feeling much better and was able to get back to school today!

something I have not contemplated....need to start approaching projects with your snow in mind. Time is of the essence. A thoughtful post....your sculpture pretty amazing.
How fun! Those are the cool things we miss out on living in Florida!
I love your snow dog!
Oh I love shoveling the driveway. Good cardio in neat straight lines ~ I love to vaccume also. Might have to wait till next winter to do a snow man that I dreamt of... my kids aren't sure what to think of it all.
Love the snow dog!

You are a sculptor too! I love your snow dog!
