I often stop to think about luck, about ease and luxury. One expression I love happens to be "in clover" which refers to just that - living with ease and luxe. Not a day goes by, that I don't take for granted all the goodness and blessings. I especially think about clovers, shamrocks and luck this time of year with St.Patrick's day on the horizon. What would be your rolling "in clover" luxury? Tell me?

I love that saying and my luxury right now would be to simply see the grass and clover rather then snow.

My "rolling in clover" luxury would be a full day with absolutely nothing to do! Of course, I'd have to be fully caught up on my sleep so that I'd be prepared to enjoy it. Lately, if I find a pocket of free time, all I want to do is take a nap! :-)

I think you are totally allowed to book a day of luxury and roll into bed with nothing to do, maybe a good stack of magazines, some lovely candles burning and and time alone.
We women need to remind one another that it is ok to put ourselves first. I think Mother's need reminding.

I read an article about a young woman who became a trim carpenter, skills she learned when she rehabbed her cottage. She commented that luxury is having what you need when you need it. She was talking about acquiring the tools she needed to do her work. I think it applies to everyday life. Not excess. Not over the top. Simply what you need.
Indeed "home before dark" - it is all about having what you need and appreciating that. Have you ever seen a dog rolling in clover.....that's true happiness.

Mine would be relaxing in the countryside of Italy for an extended period - writing and exploring and reading and eating. I would be rolling in clover.
Taking the Sheepfarmer to my old stomping grounds. And it will happen in October when we head out to Laguna Beach and then for my daughters wedding in San Francisco! It will be his first time EVER on a plane. Trying to talk him into 3 weeks, but it will probably be closer to 2 as the sheep might begin to lamb in November. I say my prayers that he stays healthy. My luxury will be when he no longer has the 6 month check ups...
My clover would be to have a book, a tall iced tea, a warm day...and the free time, so I could read outside! Oh...those days are coming!!!

Luxury, one of those things to dream about, a quest for the soul, to strive for. I have never tried to define it for my self. Yet today it would be in the inner soul not material things. Now I have to go ponder.
There was little town nearby by the name of Shamrock. Not much left, old schoolhouses and a couple of out buildings.

I appreciate this message, especially today. Lately I subscribe to the idea that life is a series of ups and downs and one must look for the positive all around and not dwell on shortcomings. That said ... my clover is each day itself ... anything else is a party on the side!
