So are you ready or not?

What are you waiting for?  Who is coming?
Are your stockings hung with care?
In hopes of what?
Now all we have to do is wait until Christmas.
So, I ask you, what are you waiting for?
Are you ready or not?
How will you "prepare him room?"
Does this season of advent have you ready or not?

Enter my "give it away" - I will be back Christmas Eve to announce the winner.
Winner shall be selected by random number generator.

  3. Dear PVE:
I am (mostly) ready. I have some last minute shopping to do for a special gift or two, in the antiques shops near our house in the country. There's some grocery and liquor shopping, as well. I hope to find some marron glace, and I know a tin of caviar will be in my sights. We're making Lindaraxa's rib roast and Yorkshire pudding recipes for Christmas dinner. Today we have a city lunch with dear friends, and then we depart for Darlington in the morning. I have enjoyed attending church throughout Advent this year, and I look forward to welcoming Him with song and prayer, not only gifts and food. Life, as we learned vividly just recently with the events in Newtown, is precious, and to be cherished and celebrated. Happy Christmas to you and yours, Reggie

  4. Purple flowers,
Sending you off a wee package and this storm does indeed require some cheery holiday music to drowned out the eery wind and sideways rain!

    Tonia,
I think at some point we just have to stop and say we did our best and be still and be ready.

  14. I'm not ready for the gift giving Patricia but I am ready for the birthday of Jesus! I am planning to sit by the fire tonight and read the Christmas story and focus on the real reason for the season. The rest will happen. I am going out tomorrow and buy whatever I want for those that are left on the list. I think it will be fun!! I always enjoy getting in the hustle and bustle on christmas eve for a little while. Merry Christmas!
