monday motivation, black please

Did you ever consider how a little thing could be so motivating?

I started drinking my coffee black over a year ago.
I like it black.  It took my husband some getting used to.  He kept bringing me coffee with milk in the morning until I simply said two words.  It's the little things that can be very motivating.
Black please.
It's not that I had anything against milk but I wanted a change.
Black coffee is just right by me and I am loving black accents, doors, boots, frames, grosgrain, chests and fashion.

I also love when I order coffee out.  Just saying black coffee sounds so simple yet bold.
Black please.

How about you?
What little change have you made that pleased you?

  11. Black is my favorite go-to color--in rooms it adds just the right about of energy without being too assertive or obnoxious. I still need some milk and a tiny tweke (how do you spell that?) of sugar. But then I drink my coffee super strong. Have a wonderful week. Are the boys coming for Thanksgiving?

  12. I love straight black espresso to start my day. I've been drinking it that way since my days as a barista way back in college. One shot, two shots, should I have a third? Is the question every morning. Love your pretty black bits here. Very motivating. XO
PS - Thanks for your very kind comment this morning!

  17. Patricia,
I love that you made a change and are sticking to it!! I am still a milk with my coffee gal, but who knows?!! I do love black...wasn't it Dorothy Draper that said every room needs a spot of black?

I am working on mindfulness...every day. To take a few minute to set my inner compass, prioritize and stay focused on what really matters. I'm a work in progress on that!

  20. Love the black accents and try to utilize it in my home. My front door was painted black. Now need to add more to the inside. Am doing a kitchen remodel soon and will have black and white there somewhere.

I started drinking my coffee black when all there was at restaurants, etc. was that phony creamer stuff, so now I can have my coffee however I like wherever I am!
