Chestnuts seem to be all around me and this J.McLaughlin shop that just opened is located in Chestnut Hill, PA. I have to admit, I really got into all the detail of this store sketch. Now I just want to sing "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire." It t'is the season for all things Chestnuts.
This is so charming. Makes me want to step inside and explore. Even the name, I agree, Chestnut Hill. Please!

My office is right around the corner from this building! Since my commute takes me in the other direction I never realized they opened a new store--will have to check it out. My husband is from an old Chestnut Hill family, but around here, we just call it "The Hill". Lovely illustration as always :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful detail here. Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThis illustration is just as lovely and thoughtful as the one you did for them in Southport. Congrats on these commissions, Patricia.
