Wonderful illustration as always and now I'm curious as to why so many get married in June. We were married in September so never really thought about it but most of our friends were.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day!

Interesting....love the illustration! I was married in March..the closest Saturday to St. Patty's day because I really loved green back then...I know really is that how I decided to marry in March! That and we married while in college and it was spring break! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteFrau,
ReplyDeleteI love knowing the history behind your March wedding!
Love to see images of your St.Patty's day green inspired wedding! How wonderful that you married while in college. You are still learning and growing strong....that says so much about you.

Patricia,
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing keepsake for this darling couple. Your talent never ceases to amaze me!
I may have to pop over and take a look. Debra and Patricia - I was also married in September and must admit never even considered June. We had a picture perfect Indian summer day - just glorious! The honeymoon was another matter entirely - rain, rain and more rain!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful keepsake. Something to treasure.
ReplyDeleteToday happens to be my 24th wedding anniversary! We chose June because of the weather. It's my second favorite month after July.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I remember the illustration you did for my friend's wedding. :)
ReplyDeleteWe were married on Dec 22. We picked this day, because Christmas time is magical and we could bring the family in from Wisc, Calf, and Texas for our new biginning but to celebrate Christmas together as a family.xo

ReplyDeleteHow very interesting - I had never given much thought to the tradition of June weddings - we chose our date based on when our location and our photographer would be available, and what would be easiest for family who had to travel. In the Northwest June isn't the best time to marry - it's one of the coolest grayest months, more like early spring than almost summer! Love the illustration! XO
ReplyDeleteNovember was our month... so I shall click away to learn more about June... xv
ReplyDeleteI'm a June bride...yesterday was my anniversary in fact. We married in June purely based on timing and venue availability. Thanks for the link, looking forward to reading
ReplyDeleteI love this illustration...Sure to be their favorite gift! We married in August, just three months after meeting and it will be 25 years this August.
ReplyDeleteCute artwork, I love that!

Beautiful illustration Patricia. That's a good question--it makes sense for a marriage to start fresh at the beginning of summer but I've never really thought about it.

I think so many brides dream of a June wedding. I know I did....but getting engaged in January, I just couldn't have the venues I wanted. So, we pushed to November.
ReplyDeleteI love that you had a fall wedding, too!
xoxo Elizabeth
Motivation Monday is one of my favorite days of the week! I never knew there was a history to being married in the month of June! Speaking of, there's a wedding I'll be attending this Saturday! Such a wonderful idea to hand out a piece of art as the keepsake! Gorgeous work! xo
ReplyDeleteYou are so very talented!
ReplyDeleteThat was fascinating! In Texas, May through September can be brutally hot. I got married September 28th on the first cooler, crisp day of fall. Thank you for sharing such interesting information. The illustration you did is amazing. What an incredible keepsake for the couple!
