Lady Adelaide

Growing up, our neighbors had a daughter named "Adel" and I always thought it was such a charming ladylike name.   Again the name to me certainly is befitting of this beguiling charmer.
I call this commission, Lady Adelaide in Boston.

Do you refer to your home as a lady or a gent?

Love when people name their homes...we've named our cars but home never...I would name it after a lady for sure. Have a wonderful weekend!

Definitely a lady,
my hubby names his car Chris
and I get to name the house,
though I seldom call it by its name:)

Mine is definitely feminine, but it's more a "thing." My previous house was on Buttermilk Road. When I moved into my present house I couldn't bear to part with the "Buttermilk" so my new home became "Buttermilk Cottage."
Best,
Susan

I LOVE this (especially being from Boston!) I always give my cars female names (Josie the Jetta) lol

I don't name my house or car, but I name my computers. I regret I can no longer name my printer. I called him Mr. Write. In the old mac day's my computer would give me the message the printer needed paper by saying "Mr. Write Needs Attention." It used to make my day!

Lady Adelaide is so lovely with her feminine color

Was once told by a contractor that our 1937 post and beam house is a "tank." So I guess it's a Mister

Interesting question. I've never considered the gender of Darlington House, actually. We used to have a housekeeper who memorably referred to our vaccuum cleaner one day as a "she." Specifically, what she said was "She's suckin' good!" when I asked her if it was working properly. It is a comment that never fails to make me laugh whenever I remember it. Reggie

I feel strongly a house should have a name. I always liked it. It adds depths to the dimension of living in on'e house, it makes it personal and rooted in it's place.
Our's we call the Greenhouse. A place to grow things...
And because it's so green all around. Not too original, but we love it!
Lady Adelaide is stunning!
