I was told when I first came to NY that I resembled the model Suzy Parker. How I wish!
I saved these images of her, tucked away and came across them the other day.
Just look at her elegant bonnet and beautiful bouquets.
How inspiring and motivating for Easter.

Do you have your Easter Bonnet, fresh bouquet and gloves ready?
I am re-thinking a simple black sheath dress for Easter and some pretty pink accessories.
Do bonnets, bouquets, bunnies and the beauty of spring excite you?
love her gold bangles too.....
Can you guess what year these photos were taken of Suzy in Paris?

Love her classic look and yours for that matter! I remember growing up having an easter hat and white gloves...and shiny black mary janes...
ReplyDeleteI can see that!! Have always loved Suzy Parker. You're reminding me I need to sort out my Easter outfit!
ReplyDeleteOh, oh, oh. Elegance, glamour, style. All rolled up together. Sigh.... Yes, well any excuse for a hat in my book. Easter bonnet? Yep, that'll do!
ReplyDeletestunning! I'm guessing 1955? xx
ReplyDeleteAh, so refined. The first image is so glamorous.
ReplyDeleteNo gloves and bonnet for me, but I do have my pretty Easter dress all ready to go and I have not so subtly made sure that M knows that since I was a little girl, I have ALWAYS had a corsage on Easter Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI just love hats but unfortunately they don't sit on my head well...to much hair. I have my Easter dress but no gloves either but I could spruce things up with a few bangles.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Monday!

ReplyDeleteI adore Suzy Parker, all those angles she was famous for.
ReplyDeleteGreat elegant post for Easter.

Oh, so elegant! I can see you like this, tall, LBD and all!
ReplyDeleteA sweet little hat and an Easter bouquet!
Gloves are a wonderful idea!!!
I'll bet they were taken in the 1950's. And I'll bet you DO resemble her! Sounds like you'll be dressed like her on Easter too! I miss Easters when EVERYONE dressed up. We need to bring that back...
ReplyDeleteI always wear black slacks, a tailored black blouse and a beautiful bright pink silky flower pin..pearls and fabulous shoes...oh..and NARS Roman Holiday pink lipstick!
ReplyDeleteShe is stunning! And I love your idea of the black with pink accessories. I fear I am too behind to find a pink hat, much less gloves!
ReplyDeleteOh, I see the resemblance!
ReplyDeleteLove all things bunny, bonnet and flower related! And, I'm guessing....1960!
xoxo Elizabeth
How lovely she is and I do see a bit of a resemblance - both of you are elegant and graceful! Guessing these were taken in the early 60's as Mother was a model then and she has a number of similar pictures.

ReplyDeleteI can see the resemblance. I like the black with the pink. I havent wore gloves and Easter bonnet since I was a young girl. xo
ReplyDeleteBonnets, bouquets, bunnies, and the beauty of spring...what could be more exciting? She is SO chic and you definitely do resemble her. A black sheath with pink accessories will be so gorgeous for Easter. We want to see pictures!!
