The first day of a New Year deserves a fresh start.
Over the years I have enjoyed creating small photo albums for friends.
I stock pile the kolo brand.
There is a winter sale now.
Some books I use photos and writings and some just my illustrations.
I enjoy using these albums for gifts.
One gift years ago was to my sister with photos from Thanksgiving that she hosted.
I used red for her book as she loves red.
Another book was given to a dear friend, I illustrated her baby's Christening.
For her book I used a pretty pale gray.
The kolo books come in a myriad of colors and sizes.
One can easily slip photos in and it is nice to keep them as souvenirs.
How fun to look back over the years and have them as memories.
New books ready for a New Year, a fresh start.
Do you keep photo albums, journals or scrap books?
Maybe this post will inspire you with a fresh start for the first day of 2012.
Happy and Healthy New Year to each of you.

One of my goals this year is to print and preserve our photographs. I will look at these albums, as they are just beautiful!!
Patricia a wonderful idea. The smaller albums are treasures.
I do journal and sketch and am beginning to get my passion back for painting.

Love these!! I used to keep albums but ever since digital, I haven't been doing it. You're inspiring me to perhaps start again. Wishing you a Very Happy New Year!
I am a record keeper. I love to compile albums. I try to journal everyday. My favourite thing is to scrapbook; pictures from magazines or quotes from books, anything, really, that makes me happy.
These little photo albums are such a wonderful way to celebrate a special person and to have their personal joys and loves be able to be passed down through the generations in such an easy way...fabulous idea!!
Many wishes for happiness, health, and an abundance of continued beautiful inspiration in 2012!!
