The New Year is upon us and I have lots of plans to be more of myself.
Over the years, I have learned that we can accomplish so much more when we remain true to ourselves.
To be thankful and to never stop looking up.
Magic is all around each of us.
Magic is all around each of us.
To be more aware of the little things which really are the most important.
To be organized and put things away where they belong.
To be on my yoga mat and to stretch out each day.
to be reading more....
Marilyn was an avid reader.
Faith by Jennifer Haigh is on my list. I am reading The Essentials of Fabulous.

To be in my studio more, painting and teaching.
In January I will be focusing on getting it set up and ready.
To be more reflective, to gather a collection of mirrors to remind me to reflect joy.
To be thankful for an upcoming 25th wedding anniversary for yours truly and my dear husband. As time goes by, I appreciate all the years that we have behind us and I look forward to the years ahead to be full of goodness.
Thank-you to each of you for taking time to be here, to read my blog, to comment and to be such loyal supporters. Like I said, I promise to be more of myself and to continue to create, design and inspire an artful life.

Just keep doing/being what and who you are and you'll have a fabulous year!

I wish you a wonderful year.
admirable! can not wait to see the studio. pgt
Your words are so beautiful, they brought tears to my eyes. I am full of gratitude for your kind and inspiring words. I am eager to begin writing on my blogspot again. I think you have something to do with it. Thank you Patricia. And a Happy New Year!
BTW - your husband is a very handsome man. :)
Patricia, it's so true. You can get all kinds of things by pretending, and by trying too hard, but in the end what you get in those modes will not serve you well. The compensation of aging is growing in to just what we want that self to mean and be. Have a glorious and productive 2012.
A lovely post and so much of it resonates with me. 2012 is the year when I am just going to be me and people will either like it or lump it, wish me luck.
Happy Anniversary from a longtime reader. All my best, M Denise C

Wishing you the Best!

Thank YOU, Patricia! Your writing and art is such a calming influence. I hope the new year is wonderful for you--and congratulations on the upcoming anniversary!
What a lovely picture of you two with just a glimpse of sunset behind you. You have many more wonderful years ahead of you, and don't forget the hours.
Being true to ourselves is a prayerful mission, I think. It begins with recognition. Wishing you a year filled with great and grateful times.
Such a lovely post. As always, thanks for being such a source of inspiration - by just being you. And congratulations on a 25th anniversary year! I hope 2012 brings magic, miracles and the wonder of the everyday right to your door. And that it brings another meet up - would love tea in the city or to see the studio in person one of these days!
Happy New Year! XO

Remember me?! (:
Happy New Year to you and yours. (And happy anniversary!).
I can't draw to save my life (still love your art piece of my home) but I will definitely do more yoga so that my arms will look like yours!

A wonderful well articulated post, I've been thinking along the same lines on many of what you've mentioned, an important anniversary, yoga and being true to myself.
Happy New Year.
Despite the fact that this blog is updated regularly with wonderful and exciting articles and of course pictures there is still lack of moderation going on in here.
