When I happened upon these stunning works, my mind immediately thought of the NY Times Sunday style section and how much fun it would be to post an illustrated version of Sunday styles. For Men, Summer in America is all about chino shorts, madras blazers, patterned ties, chambray, seersucker and white. I adore these loose paintings which I found on pinterest.
Fall on the other hand makes me long for tweeds, fairisles, foulards, paisleys and layers.
Sunday Summer styles and shades.
What says Summer style to you?

Patricia,
Great find~ I went to the original site, and the whole thing is so creative!
Summer... seersucker, madras, khaki, white, worn out chambray shirts, anything that smells of salt and sand...
Cheryl,
I want to start a series of classifications like this in my own style and document what I see people wearing.
I am thinking of going to the city and just spending a day sketching people on the street.
enjoy the 4th.

LOVE these!! What a wonderful idea - an illustrated styles section - and both of you would be perfect choices!!
Summer thoughts mean long, white linen skirts and anything turquoise.
Patricia- I would love to see your sketches from the street!
Summer style to me is no socks and big shaded hats.

Summer style is a tan, sandals, a chic tunic, and a sun kissed glow. Love summer!! Love those pictures.
