studio self

I found lighting and lots of bright ideas for my studio self.
I am feeling very selfish but please know that I plan to share my space with students and clients.

Love these for a splash of color, but my space will be mostly white....and my pve green.
tables, zinc metal - hmm, white or red!
space to spread out....
chairs and stocked shelves for

supplies and design books.

Metal bins and

boxes for storage.

Chairs for students and clients. e-z to stack and store.
folding chairs might be an option too.

metal boards for inspirations and notes to self.
What do you love in your office?

we just put an addition on our center chimney, low ceilinged colonial home. we were able to add an office/den and master bedroom suite with beautiful cathedral ceilings. the transition is smooth, as the colors and decor continue from the main house. what i love about my office, is just that.... i have an office. a magnificent desk, storage, bookshelves, a beautiful idea board, and a sitting area for my husband to keep me company.... i am so blessed.

What a stylish space you're building! It looks perfect for you. I wouldn't feel selfish or guilty for a moment -- when I think of all the joy that will be created in that space through your talents, it makes me smile. Can't wait to see the final result!

Our pretty pale purple walls and prints of our work! Though there's a side of me who really would like a clean green and white theme - love the folding chairs!

PVE,

Lots of natural light and colorful infusion of light color shades and chairs always the energy in creative spaces.

I love having a large wall board space to work with to tack up fabrics, trims, photo's, and sketches of things. Especially covered in linen fabric. Fresh flowers, small coffee maker, water in a wonderful thermal carafe to keep cold.

Advice from my yoga teacher was to rotate sitting times in a regular chair and on a stability ball. This keeps your core strength working and relieves lower back pressure. I've done it for years while working on the computer.

It's extremely rewarding to have design space...can't wait to see the reveal of your space.

I bet you are so excited to start decorating! Enjoy the process and remember to leave quite a bit of empty space so it can grow as you do.

Looks fabulous.. love everything you've picked out. I was looking at magazine holders at the container store today but couldn't find any that I really liked. I like the ones you have on here. Can you tell me where you found them?
Happy week to you!

I love the water views and loads of daylight in my studio. Couldn't live without my wall to wall, floor to ceiling Ikea Expedit shelving (white of course). And Love my vintage Saarinen style tulip base table and chairs. I saw a set of 6 vintage modern chairs in the most gorgeous shade of green recently - they would have been perfect for your studio.
