quaint

There is something far more appealing to me about walking and being able to shop at charming spots that resemble homes or cottages. Another J.McLaughlin shop is to open on the cape. It is not even May yet, and my mind wanders to thoughts of care-free summer days at the beach and casual wardrobes for vacation on the coast.

    I love those quaint little shops as well. You never know what you will discover inside. Your drawing is lovely and makes me think of summer as well. :-)

    I'm ready for summer days, too. I'll meet you at the cape for some shopping and a walk on the beach. Charming illustration of a charming shop!

    Patricia, if memory serves me, J.McLaughlin Shop is about to open where The Children's Store (or Shop) was many, many years ago. It was an annual expedition for my mother and me while we vacationed on the cape. The sale room first, of course, and then the rest of the amazingly delicious clothes and goodies.
    I may need to purchase a copy... I will just close one eye and imagine a different sign.
    Such wonderful summer memories.

    I think that you should work into your contract with them that you have to go and visit these stores in person haha. You know make a little vacation out of it :)

    Lovely, as usual. I would love to walk into a shop like that. Much more appealing than a big-box store like Target or Macy's.
