Is your house proud or does it need a little visual support in the form or a sketch?
I love to draw items to give a house help to further it along, a fence, a lamp, window boxes, planters, shutters and some landscaping. We all have projects that need a little visual support to help us achieve our happily ever after.
I see the world in rose colored glasses with lots of afters too.
Send me your "before" photo and I will make your house proud! I will be giving away one sketch to one of you. Do you have a project that needs a little push or a sketch. Just a fresh coat of paint to your front door can make your home proud. I can sketch it up for you to see.
I am giving one away to one of you lucky readers. Simply leave a comment, what would make your house proud? Do you have a project that needs a sketch to sell an idea? I will announce the winner on wednesday.
Winner of the spring tree notes is 24 corners~
What a fabulous giveaway! My mother has lived with me for the past six years and she always says that she so wants her lasting legacy for me to be a beautiful yard with flowers that bloom year after year so I will always be reminded of her. While our backyard is coming along nicely the front still lacks quite a bit. Perhaps you could paint some of your magic our way and help her dreams become a little more real. ~Kim K
ReplyDeleteKim,
ReplyDeleteHow fabulous to plant a garden full of flowers as a living legacy to one's Mother. There is a tree my little brother planted which soars to the heavens. Thanks for your comments and sharing dreams~

That's a wonderful giveaway...
ReplyDeleteYour artworks are always lovely.
The house needs residing, the windows replaced and the garden has grown over its borders... need I say more? Our little farmhouse needs a big makeover and I don't know where to start...

How fun! Our house was built in 1930 for the workers of the Coats & Clark Thread Mill. When we bought the house it needed LOTS of love. The last few things I want most for my sweet little southern bungalow are, shutters & window boxes for the windows...but i need help persuading the hubs that the shutters & window boxes will look great!
ReplyDeleteAnn,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
Your fine comments are always appreciated.

Carolyn,
Love to sketch your siding all sparkly and your garden and weeds well mannered....one bloom at a time!

Aunt Grits-

ReplyDeleteMy house is getting ready to explode with color. It is surrounded by azaleas of several colors and I think this is when it looks most beautiful. Your houses look wonderful. You do fantastic work with architectural details! :-)
ReplyDeletePVE, this is a lovely giveaway! I so admire your work and would love to have an original of my house.
ReplyDeleteI have a tiny front yard and think the house gets lost with all the trees in yard. I'd love to see how my house would look without the large maple, with a fence along the sidewalk, carriage lamps at the end of the driveway, a new front door (actually it's a storm door for our little portico) and a diffent color siding and shutters.
I think seeing the potential will be just the kick in the pants hubby and I need to get started on some of this. I'm sending you a picture now...
Your illustrations are so charming, and love your little additions. If I owned the first home, I would be building the picket fence today!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet give-away Patricia. Anyone would be proud to have your house sketch. You have a way of turning a house into a real home. xxx
ReplyDeletehi patricia,
ReplyDeletewhat a giveaway! your illustrations are amazing. i'm wondering what a black and white awning would look like over the front porch windows. i've also wondered what the house would look like painted white instead of its current red. what do you think about that?

ps - where did you get your rose-colored glasses b/c i need a pair.
What a wonderful gift for someone!! Our house could definitely use some tuning up - a fence, some plantings would all increase the curbside appeal!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love your rose-colored glasses, PVE! You make the world so sweet and charming. Such a lovely giveaway. Our house could use a few trees and landscaping, and I've been picturing a white picked fence and a rose arbor to greet guests when they visit!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely rose-colored Tuesday!
Jeanne
Oh how wonderful to paint the world a happier and more colorful place. Have a wonderful day and can't wait to see what you make a little happier.
ReplyDeleteI love your work. It's inspiring to me. My home needs a new roof and shutters to make it my dream home...and of course more spring flowers to edge the beds!
ReplyDeletePatricia,
ReplyDeleteTo see your home through your eyes is such a gift. You take what's there....and capture its soul!
Here's to you today, as your finish up your dream studio! I'm going to invite myself over! :)
xoxo E
Oh, what a fabulous idea! I just love the sketch you did of our house last spring! I am itching to make some landscaping changes to make our yard seem more magical. Maybe your sketch will give me that needed inspiration and direction! Thanks, PVE!
ReplyDeleteoooohhhh this is the best giveaway... ever...
ReplyDeleteanything you add would be delightful....
kim's sweet story is adorable... xx
Great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMy humble little Mango House needs a lot of love. We just bought it last year and my "Honey-Do-List" (the term I use to try to encourage my husband to pick up some tasks from our to-do-list) is neverending.
One thing I want to do is get rid of a tree in front of the fireplace and put a deck/porch in it's place so that we could maybe have a little swing to sit on and enjoy the front yard.
I would also love to paint the house a whiteish gray and add some navy blue shutters to the windows.
In addition it needs some warm colored pavers to replace the concrete entry way that has seen years of abuse.
The main thing I have trouble figuring out is some beautiful landscaping. I just don't know where to put it! Maybe you can help?
Here is a picture of the place:

I'm keeping my fingers crossed I win this... My house could definitely need a little inspiration (although I still love it). It was built in the 1930's and my husband and I are the 2nd family to own the house. It is well loved - but needs some landscaping/focus.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I'm thrilled to have won the note cards...I've loved that sweet blossoming tree from the beginnning, it will be so special to have them, many thanks!
ReplyDeleteSecondly...our homes exterior is new and lovely but the landscaping, or lack there of , looks like a war zone...after honey buckets, cement trucks, dumpsters, work trucks...it's a mess and I would love to see what the view through your lovely rose colored galsses would look like (I'm sure our neighbors would too!).
Thanks again Patricia...you're an angel, and a very talented one at that!
xo J~
What a wonderful giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to do some serious landscaping and work on the flower beds. And maybe a new front walk that doesn't always have a puddle right in the middle...I'd love to see how you'd spruce it up!
I am IN LOVE with your illustrations! Our house is the house I grew up in so it is filled with lots of memories from my childhood and now memories of my own three children. Since we moved back into this house, I have been changing the color of our front door every other year. I would love to add some outdoor furniture on our porch on the front of our house too...one day!
ReplyDeleteOh, I would love to have a little sketch like this. Aren't you clever!

We just moved into a new house last summer and this would be so lovely. I've wondered about boxwoods lining our new brick walk, but then am not quite sure...
ReplyDeleteA generous and kind offer! Our landscaping is limited by neighborhood deer! No front yard roses for me - not even geraniums. I'd love to imagine my front yard full of color with more than the evergreens currently there. Good luck to everyone!
ReplyDeletewhat an awesome giveaway! Pick Kim, I love what she wrote:)
ReplyDeleteI love giveaways! Oh my poor little contemporary could use so much... Some landscaping, new paint, an addition? But I love it anyway. :)
ReplyDeleteI bought the house that my grandfather lived in for almost 50 years and I would love to have a sketch that restores the house to what it looked like in the past when my grandmother's plants were still alive in front of the house and before the front steps were in need of repair. A sketch of what my home looked like when I visited it as a child would make my home proud :) Your works are all so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm just stopping in to say, this is a beautiful way to jump into spring! This will make a wonderful keepsake for your lucky winner. xo
ReplyDeleteThis is a phenominal prize! I would love a reminder of this house which is so full of love and memories.

Thank-you to each of you for sharing your comments and what your house needs to make it proud. As we all know life has "to do lists" and "bucket lists" and I am so thankful to each of you for all your kind comments and for entering. See the winners! I posted them - wednesday's post. I had to choose 3, all by random number.

i know i missed the deadline for the giveaway (super sad about that), but i still wanted to say that i think your sketches are beautiful. i'm desperately trying to sketch myself - gowns, not houses - and this is really inspirational to me.
