I have been on the prowl for a metal brassy pair of swing arm sconces for my new master bedroom.
Even a little polish can make the most undecorated mattress on the floor suddenly look hip.
Loving this one. I found a brassy pair today.
and this bossy brassy vintage one found on 1st dibs.

Both are very nice. I have always been a silver/chrome girl but this new house we bought has brass everywhere way too much to change. Good luck with your choice.

We have always gone with brass, which I do love.. but in the addition that we are just completing, I have gone with brushed bronze, and I do love the subtlety. Just another option.
Love a little shine...especially with a touch of brass!!
I am very drawn to brass lately. Though looking around I see a lot of silver in my kitchen and brass in the family room.....I guess I like to mix my metals!

These look lovely. I love a little shine in life. We choose a lot of silver finish, but have some lovely faded brass vintage brass sconces bracketing our bed, they are two of my favorite things!

I like to mix metals, however, I love our plated nickel for our bedroom lamps. They're understated and pretty.

nothing is better than these for the bedroom-stick with the brass-that is the classic choice.
I'm jealous, I'd love to have two shiny brass ones wall mounted. I have to brass bedside lamps but just aren't as chic. Patricia your blog is looking so fabulous. I'm sorry that it's been too long since I've stopped bye. Have a great Wed.!

I prefer silver for myself -always have -but brass can be beautiful and is OH so popular right now!
I think the fashion and decorating trends are swinging back towards golds and brasses. And of course mixing metals is very "in" right now. I don't think you can go wrong:)

You've hit on two of my most favorite things. I'm slightly obsessed with antique brass,,,,and completely obsessed with wall mounted swing arm lamps! I think the two would make a perfect combo. : )
I just bought the brass Robert abbey swing arm for my son's room. I love it . My favorite piece in his room. I have it pictured on my sons room reveal:)
I would have said brass, but I WON that last one so ummm, guess I had to change my mind :) It soon will be hanging in my son's room!
