One really has to work in order to know that inspiration indeed exists.
There are signs, one just has to look for them.
Some messages are hidden on purpose, like the words inside a lucky fortune cookie.
...or inside a bureau. Notes and quotes pinned in a spot serve as gentle reminders or signs to carry on.
Do you have any inspirational notes posted about?
Any notes or signs that you treasure and keep posted about to keep you motivated?

Lovely post. I have one up from our buddy Sue:
ReplyDeleteTalk less about your identity and Do more to Define, Live and Believe it.
I love that one.
A great lists of hidden messages. I really like the last one. xo
ReplyDeleteWhat a good way to get yourself on task! Posting sayings inspire, but fortunes in cookies don't work for me. I've had some pretty un-inspiring cookies. Good for a laugh but not much else. So I guess I will just stick with Quotationaries. :-)
ReplyDeleteTerrific inspiration. I think I'll leave myself a few notes to find later. One of my favorites is "You must do the thing you think you cannot do." - Eleanor Roosevelt.
ReplyDeleteWe have so many posted inside cabinets, in drawers, in wallets, in the car, on desks. Much like your notes.
ReplyDeleteI have 2 main ones in my studio:
ReplyDeleteStop Over Thinking
Just Start
I leave little notes for myself all the time - my own issue is that sometimes I can't find them!!
ReplyDeletehi patricia,
ReplyDeletei keep a journal of inspirational passages. i love them and find that they sustain me during tough times. i would say my all-time favorite and one in heavy use right now is...this too shall pass.

I don't have any. They tend to make me nervous for some reason. But I do love that Picasso quotation you have there. Quite a lot.
ReplyDeletePVE,
ReplyDeleteThe one I live by is "Inquire Within" works all the time. Enjoy learning what motivates others as well as some others I may adopt myself.

i love things like this. I have some reminders on my desk: "Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never have enough. I also like: "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men." -Colossians 3:23
ReplyDeleteI keep a journal of inspirational quotes. One of them is currently sitting on my desk. It reads "live life on all four burners." Love it.
ReplyDeleteThat first Picasso quote is fantastic. I'm writing it down now to post in several parts of my house. That was just the lift I needed today.
ReplyDeleteI like to put up thank-you notes, quote, and magazine tears on my bathroom mirror. It give me a little something to read when I'm brushing my teeth, and even just glancing in that direction puts me in a better mood. (And reminds me not to rush in the mornings.)
