love the way you lie

There is nothing more beautiful than watching a child lie-down and fall asleep.
beauty-sleep is priceless
dreams are too.
a good snooze
what's not to love about a good lie-down.
Would be nice to wake up in a heap of heady lilies.
My Mother taught me the best remedy is a good hot meal and a nap.

Do you take naps or ever doze off?
I love the way you lie.....now tell the truth....
I would love a little siesta now.

  1. Yes, yes, If I have a time for reading I will almost always doze off after a bit and wake up surprised that an hour has passed!

  2. I often think a nap would be a lovely luxury...but I just don't seem to ebb during that napping time of day. But, when my head hits the pillow late at night...I'm out!

  3. Naps - yes whenever possible, which isn't as often as I'd like. My preference - in a sunny spot on a couch.

  4. I would like a nap, but don't always get the chance. I specifically try for a lazy Sunday afternoon.
I agree with your Mother. :)

  5. Love these images. So sweet. When my daughter was little, heck even when she wasnt little I would sneak in her room and snap sleeping photos. Needless to say she wasn't always a happy camper But I have quite a few unique scrapbooks.

  6. PVE,

Bliss is achieved through naps I'm convinced. I'm a big fan of naps and often indulge in a scheduled nap. Our pets and children enjoy all the benefits of naps and grown ups should too. Great art to define naps.

  7. First, you made me smile ear to ear with your "medicine cabinet" comment...I suppose I do like organization! Anyway, there is very little I love more than watching my children sleep. At night I go into their rooms before I go to bed and I kiss them on the head and just look at them restfully sleeping...it is sweet. Do I nap? No, not with a 2 and 4 year old to keep me on my toes.

  9. I am blessed/cursed with the ability to fall asleep anywhere almost any time! I think my most embarrassing moment was falling asleep in a wing chair at someone's house after a dinner party with a cognac in my hand - didn't even spill it!!

  10. The way I "lie" is starting to make wrinkles on my face and I hate that!!! Maybe a nap would help. Maybe I'm just too tired. You think?

naps are simple luxuries, so worth it!
we have lots in common, hitting our heads in pillows and falling hard. zzzz.

    crystal,
maybe your daughter needs a painting - that would be dreamy of her fast asleep.

  15. I love the paintings of the blissful dreamers. One of my favorite paintings of all time is Breakfast in Bed by Mary Cassatt. I cannot admit to be a napper. I don't like them, because I wake up cranky. My idea of heaven is to lollygag in bed in the morning, watching black and white movies!
    Best,

  17. I cant remember the last time I took a nap. Napping is such a luxury for the adults in our household right now. I do know that once Tyler and Conner are asleep at night or napping, there is nothing more I love than the silence. It's almost as good as napping myself.
