fondue love

Do you love fondue as much as I do? There is something so fun about sharing a pot of melted cheese and dipping a sundry of cut bread or vegetables inside. I think for Valentine's day, I just may have a pot of chocolate fondue to melt a few hearts!

Happy friday and weekend. Hope it is a great one.

  11. Ha! That pot reminds me of the one we had growing up - bright orange. Fondue is such a fun way to eat and Valentine's Day would be the perfect day for it. Happy weekend!

  12. This will be the best way to celebrate the love around your table.
I absolutely LOVE fondue! It is romantic and fun to have fondue for 2 or a table of friends. I still have the one I received 20 years ago as a bridal shower gift. It is from Crate, with a lazy susan and 6/8 little porcelain bowls to hold the food. We were just talking about having fondue or going to our friend's restaurant on Monday. BIG hugs... xo

  25. Such fun fondue memories from the days when my husband was a youth pastor. (1977 and following.)We invited the students to our home, one class at a time (freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior) and prepare huge fondue desserts for them. (with sheets on the floor to protect my carpet.) They always felt loved.

    Fondly,

Top Chef just had their first fondue challenge...it was fun to see the creative ways the chefs explored the theme...I think I need to melt some cheese now.

  32. One of the best times I've had was at a fondue party. Did you know there's a rule that if you (accidentally?) drop your food into the pot, you have to kiss the person on your left?

  33. LOVE fondue! Recently hosted a spontaneaous snow-day winter lunch using a LaCruset pot and prepared fondue packets from Switzerland easily found at WholeFoods. The taste was so authentic it transported us immediately to the alps!
