honeysuckle pink

Surely you have heard that Pantone announced "Honeysuckle" pink as the color for 2011.
Did you know that Honeysuckle tea is made to energize and the cleanse the skin?
I love how an herb, a flower or even a color can lift one's spirits.
or lift one's tutu.
Especially if they are pink.
Love how "honeysuckle pink" lights up a room!
...or a table.
Pretty pink cloth napkins for a special girl's celebration from Kayce Hughes.
Dining in style.
Eddie Ross uses pink.
Excuse me, while I powder...
my nose here. Pretty, non?
Grant Gibson uses pink.
A pink dahlia that I snapped at the end of the season, just a few weeks ago!
So how about adding some honeysuckle pink to boost your spirit.
Game on Ladies and Gentlemen!
Will you be in style with honeysuckle rose?

Perhaps a pink poinsetta is just the perfect color for now.

  2. Love this shade of pink. I think it would look shockingly good paired with black.
    Have a great day!

  3. Not usually a pink girl - and was nervous when I heard about the Pantone pick, but now that I realize it's more of an orangey pink, I'm warming up to it! Pink can actually be an incredibly neutral accent - looking forward to seeing how it plays out!!

  5. I love pink, although I haven used too much at home, except in my bedroom - bright (almost honeysuckle) corbeille bed with pink and green toile de jouy wallpaper. Love the pink dahlia, beautiful!

  10. Yes, the WSJ had a great article about it on Sunday. This color and flower reminds me of my dear Blanche. She actually took a few snips from the coral pink honeysuckles while she and Carl were visiting Wahsington's Mount Vernon. Her bedroom was pale pink!!!! She started the cuttings and her perennial honeysuckles blossomed into a small business selling the plants to all her friends and neighbors in Louisville.

  17. Pink! I've two daughters and we have been saturated in pink for a decade. Still not weary of this happy, and often sophistocated color. xo, Roxanne

Don't know if it's too early to say this but am just going to take this opportunity to wish you a merry Christmas and very best wishes for 2011.

Yours was one of the very first blogs I started looking at and I check in pretty much every day to read about what you find inspiring and to see your delightful illustrations.

Thank you so much for sharing these.

  21. I have to be very honest PVE,,,I am not a fan of pink, especially for interiors, and I shuddered at the news of this colour forecast. However I do love pink in nature, in flowers (used inside and out) and in little girls rooms or female use spaces and I love it in clothing and accessories, and candy, and champagne! But I think that's the extent I will be enjoying the colour of the year. Who know's....I may be inspired otherwise.

Ummm... doesn't a certain talented artist with a blog also use Honeysuckle?!

    Sending you a smile,
