crazy busy

Is this you? Are you overstretched, overbooked, and
about to snap?
Excuse me while I tend to getting some work done during this crazy busy month of December.
Checking my lists. Lots to do!

Do you have one strategy that helps you stay on top of your game and alleviates that crazy busy about to snap feeling?
Here are few notes from your comments;
wing it
make a list
meditate
hide
plan only weekend events
listen to music
light candles
take a nap

  1. I am a wing it kind of girl...which is not a really good thing...lists make me nervous, and I have a ton of them right now....so I am just going to check them twice and try to be nice...and see if I can make it through.

  7. This time of year is always tough--balancing holiday cheer with a big stressful project at work. I just take it one day at a time and "bite if off in chunks." Time with friends helps....

  8. I hear ya! My November was so jam packed, that I think I should cruise through December - all three weekend Christmas parties, 2 school concerts, getting out the cards, buying all the gifts, preparing for week long guests arriving on the 19th, followed by a week long trip to see in-laws before New Years.....without a hitch! (Can you just hear me doubled over laughing!!??)

Sooooooo....here's my strategy. Decline all weekday events, turn on the Christmas lights, light the candles, put on soothing music and let the rest go!

Let the holidays begin!!! xo E

  9. I am to busy to have a strategy. I just try to remember the most important thing I have to get done and concentrate on getting it all the way done so it is off my plate. It works some times....other times a ball is dropped...sigh.

I hope you have a chance to visit and see my Holiday give away! I think you might appreciate it! My first one since last year at this time! It's a goodie!

  10. I make sure my list is updated (love to cross items off)! I make time to exercise no matter what. It's a stress-buster. I've also been rising earlier and getting a few things done by mid-morning-it helps.

  11. Sometimes I find that I just need to escape and take a nap. Although, this only happens on the weekends. But, it's greatly savored. :)

  14. YES! I am all over the place right now and not exactly where I want to be. Just reacting.

Candles, that's a good one. They really do create a calm atmosphere.

By the way, just might add black ribbon to that shower curtain. Thanks.

  18. I write everything in my daily organizer, then check off items as I get them done. It works!

  19. Have a long shower (we've had enough rain for a guilt free long shower!), hop in favourite Pjs, take 10 deep breaths and have a Chivas on ice.. then continue...

  20. Exactly what I feel so good - I make tons of lists, but it does not really do anything to reality. I need a team of elves!

  21. It happens without intending or knowing how it started, many people today feel to live in a hurry, you do not want and do not create, or at least I did not want to create.
