aides-de-camp

Some ask, "How do you do it all?" Truth be told, I really believe that I have several guardian angels around me. There are days that I take on way to much like some general and others that I just trust that a gilded guardian angel is there by my side. It sure helps to know that I have some sort of personal attendant and that it is not all being done by me. That is the key to doing it all, believing that you have some sort of aide-de-camp.

Each day, I give thanks for all the angels around me in blogland. Today, I will take my twin sons to see two colleges here and here and I will be looking for signs of angels around me. I know, call me crazy, but somehow it's a lot more fun to know that I have a little imaginary help.

Do you believe in angels? What are your guardian angels whispering to you?

  1. Kind of like the wind at your back giving you a little push through...I have to say that my living angel is my Mom, she still encourages me and tells me all the time "you can do it, I believe in you!" and that is all I need to hear.

Good luck looking at colleges...your kids are lucky to have a superwoman mom like you:)

  2. What an exciting day for you and your boys. I believe in angels I just forget to call upon them more often. I had a angel reading several times, it really made me a believer. Have a wonderful weekend.

  3. Gretchen-
I'd love a little "letterpress angel" to give to my Mom. We are lucky that we have believers. I will remember your words today!

  4. Yes, have to believe we have those helping and guiding us along. Good luck with your college tours. Also have twin sons in college and a third as well - all in opposite directions! At least today you are headed in one similar direction!

  7. Indeed you make it all look easy.
I bet it's both exciting for you and maybe feeling a bit of separation anxiety. You have the
    "yeah team" coming from blogland.
Best wishes to all, now I'll check
    which colleges you are visiting.
    Best wishes,

  12. For many years I have believed my "conscious" is my guardian angel. If I have a nagging doubt about whether or not I should do something, it's my guardian angel saying no, no, no...I always try to listen. However, it's not much help with getting things done.

  13. My aides-de-camp take on human form when my kids and husband decide to lend a hand - otherwise, I believe that my guardian angels really do keep me sane when my to-do list gets out of hand!

  14. Funny you mention angels. I am a big angel person. I ask for everything from them and they have pulled me through many a rough patch. Good luck on your college tour. The Dovecote Coterie sends you feathers as a reminder that they are all around you.

  15. It's so funny you should say this, because while unpacking at our new house, I found a wall hanging that used to hang in my bedroom as a child, featuring a guardian angel with a little girl. It was my guardian angel. I've always thought that I have someone looking out for me.

Good luck on the college search. Those are two excellent schools.

  16. It is one of my favourite thoughts. The guardian angels that surround me. I imagine them twenty feet tall and standing at each corner of my house as I sleep.

  18. I absolutely believe in angels. I have a beautiful wood carved one above my bed. And, i like to think a few just flying around me! :)

Safe journeys to Bucknell and Lehigh!!! Can't wait to hear on decision day where they decide to park themselves for 4 years.
