Summer is a time to read, to escape, to kick back, relax and to find humor and sweetness in life.
What is on your arm now and what are you reading this summer?

  1. I'm reading a book on Pilates... and I'm sporting a nice burn from the iron on my arm! That's what I get..... I'm looking for that perfect beach book for a trip to the Cape coming up in a few weeks! Any suggestions?

  2. Debra,
sorry to hear about your burn, funny, I burned my finger just yesterday, flipping home-firies at a friends for 6 pretty hungry girls after the last day of school.
Books for your trip...do you want something light or something historical and heavy?

  8. MFK Fisher. Someone asked me what I was reading the other day and I realized I haven't read any contemporary fiction in forever. Vacation seems ripe for a juicy read.

  9. Yes!! chic-lit. I will confess to reading The ex-Mrs. Hedgefund. I just finished the 3rd Stieg Larson--The Girl who kicked the Hornet's Nest--love snoops and hackers. Now, I'm on Little Bee. I really need to hide my Kindle for a while and get back to work!

  11. I met Jill last year at a book signing for the Ex Mrs Hedgefund. It was so darn funny - and a quick read. These are the kinds of books I love to read during the summer!!!

  13. I've got on my favorite pair of bracelets...purchased at Target and they never fail to bring a compliment or two.

Just finished (last night) reading "My Life Would Be Perfect If I Lived In That House." It was fun and generally very light.
