I'm reading a book on Pilates... and I'm sporting a nice burn from the iron on my arm! That's what I get..... I'm looking for that perfect beach book for a trip to the Cape coming up in a few weeks! Any suggestions?
Debra, sorry to hear about your burn, funny, I burned my finger just yesterday, flipping home-firies at a friends for 6 pretty hungry girls after the last day of school. Books for your trip...do you want something light or something historical and heavy? pve
I have a few suggestions for beachy, fun books if you'd like... The House on Oyster Creek-Tales place in Wellfleet,MA Girls' Poker Night-By Jill Davis The Castaways-Elin Hilderbrand Takes place on Nantucket
I'm going to pick up Arm Candy. Thanks for the suggestion! ;)bb
I'm reading Seagulls in the Attic by Tessa Hainsworth. And waiting patiently for Carol Drinkwaters Return to the Olive Farm next month. Just wish I had more time to read....
MFK Fisher. Someone asked me what I was reading the other day and I realized I haven't read any contemporary fiction in forever. Vacation seems ripe for a juicy read.
Yes!! chic-lit. I will confess to reading The ex-Mrs. Hedgefund. I just finished the 3rd Stieg Larson--The Girl who kicked the Hornet's Nest--love snoops and hackers. Now, I'm on Little Bee. I really need to hide my Kindle for a while and get back to work!
PvE, I've just finished 3 really good ones -- The Summer We Read Gatsby by Danielle Ganek, The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest by Stieg Larsson, and Committed by Elizabeth ('Eat, Pray, Love') Gilbert
I met Jill last year at a book signing for the Ex Mrs Hedgefund. It was so darn funny - and a quick read. These are the kinds of books I love to read during the summer!!!
The Help is a must read for any time of year! If you own a business, The Referral Engine is my top pick of 2010. Thinking about reading Eat, Pray, Love next because the movie trailer looks so good! Any reviews?
