rhapsody in blue

One color that keeps playing over and over in my head like "Rhapsody in Blue" are all the beautiful shades of cobalt, aqua, turquoise and lapis and hydrangea blue. I want to add blue touches to my home and listen to Porgy and Bess. Blue is so friendly, don't you agree?

  1. I adore the blues- periwinkle, robin's egg, seafoam. So calming and cool. I hope that there is bright yellow sunshine where you are. Bright yellow and cobalt-now that a summertime favorite!

  2. A bright blue la coste and white jeans and boating shoes, sunglasses and a tall glass of water with lemon sounds pretty right for a summer day in Maine- by the water.

  3. I love variations of blue. In my twenties, I painted my bedroom sky blue, and bought a comforter w/off white, blues and peach colors all over it. It was such a cheerful room. I see out in the stores that blue seems to be the color of choice this season. I love it.

  6. Like Rhaposdy in Blue this is a
wonderful composition in texture and color. I checked on the site for one particular item, the turquoise picture frame, but it is
    not there, probably sold.
Have a great one--the sun is shining in NY!

  14. Every time I try to get away from blue, I end up going back in some way.
When my first granddaughter was a wee tiny thing and loved crayons, every time she would pick out the periwinkle and she still loves it.
My home state is KY, cardinal state bird and now VA, which is also cardinal.

  15. Blue is so calming. I am thinking about changing all the light bulbs in my bedroom to blue for this reason...or maybe black lights.

  16. Blue is a fave and so soothing to the soul. I have a light aqua I call "Tiffany Box Blue" on my dining room and kitchen walls...and soon to be splash about my studio walls. It makes me smile (:

  17. Any shade of blue will do-- I realized this as I walked around my house recently and saw that I had at least five different shades represented throughout my house-- from a navy bathroom to robin's egg blue in a bedroom. Now if I can integrate it more into my wardrobe I'll be making progress.
