Today is all about being green and flapping my birthday wings.
Ever since I was a wee one, my day (St. Paddy's day) has been celebrated with something green.
My birthday (today) has always been all about green and something lucky.
No wonder green is my favorite color.
David Gauld - 1893 (thank-you little augury)

Do you find it easy being green? Care to share an easy tip on living green?
I'm thrilled to be the first on your post to wish you a very happy and green birthday Patricia. What an exciting day to celebrate ones birthday, you are truly blessed and of course, 'lucky'! Hoping it's a great day and an even greater year ahead. xx
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Patricia!! I hope you have a fabulous day! Pretty special to have your Birthday on the luckiest day of all!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!!! I guess what I do that's "green" in everyday life is recycle. I recycle everything I can, from paper, glass and steel to clothes (always donate what we don't use anymore).
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment, I SO wish we could meet one day! Victoria is such a super sweet blog friend, really loved the guest post she made for me :) Mr B and I planning on making a trip over the pond some day (it's kind of difficult with the girls being only 4 months and two years, but we'll get there).
We used to go to Cali once a year for a road trip, but haven't been since 2007! :(
Happy birthday! Have a special day.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Patricia! With the power back on, I hope you treat yourself to a great dinner and a pint of ale. And don't forget to recycle the bottle!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday dear~ I think the best tip would be to just really use our heads and our conscience. Reuse, regift- when bringing one thing into our homes, give one thing to someone that could use a lift. Have a special day Patricia.
ReplyDeleteHappy Happy B-Day!
ReplyDeleteWe find it easy being green. We do alot of recycling of paper, glass, plastic (trying to cut down on the plastic). Books no longer wanted get passed to the local Library. Clothes get passed onto local charities. We're always looking for new ways to recycle and/or pay it forward.
Best wishes for a very happy, lucky, green Birthday!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! My nephew's birthday is today too - he's nine. Green is my favorite color - I used to have a green kitchen and a green front door. In my current house my bedroom and bathroom are green, very soothing. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by to tell you that I love you and I'm so happy for the day you were born! Happy Birthday, Patricia!
ReplyDeleteKathleen (purpleflowers) sent me over to wish you a marvelous birthday. She has a wonderful tribute to you over on her site.
ReplyDeleteGreen is my daughter's favorite color. Hazel green is the color of my eyes. We are green by separating our garbage into trash or recyclables.
You have a lovely blog, btw.
Happy birthday! Most of the furniture pieces I buy for the house are second hand - less going to the landfill that way.

Happy Birthday, Patricia!
ReplyDeleteA little odd but true: I save all of my bathroom tissue cardboards for the lower school art teacher at my daughter's school. Lower School Art Studio is a much anticipated class & I love the idea of creative recycling.

ReplyDeleteI'll be having my first give-away this week. I hope you're a lucky winner!!
My dear friend Happy, Happy Birthday! That little wee bird is so adorable and just as adorable as our birthday girl. Celebrate, celebrate and have fun today with your close group of knit galpals and family. xo
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! HOpe it is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWe always use "real" napkins, I feel like it is such and easy way to save some trees!
Sometimes I think the prettiest bouquet is a simple vase of branches and green leaves. Flowers shouldn't be the only ones to come inside.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!
Hope your birthday is wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy, Happy Birthday wishes Patricia, may you enjoy a simply glorious day!
ReplyDeleteSending a green Birthday smile,

ReplyDeleteI saw your comment on my blog, so I had to rush over and wish you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Enjoy plenty of green cake today. Great giveaway, too. We try to be "green" by taking usable grocery bags to the store, recycling, waiting until the dishwasher is totally full before running it so we save water, etc.
