special reserve

It is cold now, the kind of bitter cold that seeps into every extremity rendering one to stay indoors, light a fire and have a little sip of something to ward off the chill. There is something so soothing about the oaky flavor and the fact that is matured in the highlands of Scotland.
I have a crystal cut glass that was my Grandmother's reserved for a wee sip. Happy hour to you.
What do you have reserved for your happy hour?

  1. Enjoy Patricia;
I am going to have a nice glass of Lot 50 Old Vine Red, by Marietta.

Another wonderful choice is Blue Moon Belgium beer with a slice of Cecelia orange slice!

    It is 5 o' clock somewhere~

    Cheers!

  3. Mmm. That sounds wonderful. And since it's snowing here in SC right now, I'm thinking of pouring a small nip of Woodford Reserve and water. Cheers!

  5. I do love a touch of single malt-and how funny-I have my Dad's crystal scotch glass. Tonight it is a chilled pinot grigio.
The patient is doing well, but his nurse is exhausted...sweet dreams!

  6. A woman after my own heart. My favorite is Royal Lochnagar Single Malt Scotch from a distillery not far from Balmoral Castle amongst the beauty of Royal Deeside. You gave me a great idea to spend the evening in front of the fire having a 'wee sip' as well. Have a glorious weekend Patricia.

    Cheers my dears x

  8. Mmmmmm .... I'm content with a good glass of wine, preferably by the fire as Charlotte experiences a rare dusting of snow!

  9. Snow on the ground, weather in the teens! A Grand Marnier in a nice snifter sounds really nice.

  10. Coffee and Baileys but a little sip of whiskey does the trick. Stay warm and have a wonderful weekend.

  11. A small but pretty glass of Blackberry brandy. It reminds me of many nights skiing in Vermont, and in the lodge.

  15. Hi PVE!

Missed you and your fun-filled posts of great varied interests and art!

We like to keep Gentleman Jack on hand for Sean's happy hour drink of choice, and I'm a bubbly kinda gal, so champagne is always in the fridge!

    Bon weekend to you!
