Perhaps it is in seeing red hearts fill the shelves with ample time for Cupid to launch his bow and arrow. Found this sweet red cardinal here. My pve logo is in fact a female cardinal which
my brother-in-law David Hartman designed for me. The Kentucky Cardinal is symbolic as I flew North to New York with my brushes long ago and landed.
Is there a color causing your heart to beat a bit faster?
Yes, yes- this time of year I do love reds and plaids! We have Cardinals living in our pine trees this winter. They are a lovely sight against the snow.
ReplyDeleteI have added a lot of red to my wardrobe...the warm cardinal red that you featured. I am crazy about red and purple at the moment ...I can't seem to get enough of it! Love the image...reminds me that I need to top off my bird feeder!

Hi P:
ReplyDeleteI've posted a pic of my master bedroom on my blog--completely this color. Now they say a bedroom should be muted, toned...but I love how the light reflects of the walls at night and how comforting and enveloping this color can be! Great new choice for you!
I am in love with that graphic image-- wow
ReplyDeleteLoving your cardinal post today! I have 2 "couples" of cardinals that visit my feeders every morning and evening! It is so sweet how the males drop the seeds to the ground for the "ladies"... we have 4 little ones to watch as well..they don't come out much though..
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday!
As a child I remember studying about all different kinds of birds in school. We used these small books that had a picture of each bird with pertinent info. I always loved Cardinals. To this day, when I see them flutter around my deck, I long to say "look, there's one!"
ReplyDeleteaidThat's a great card. We have cardinals that visit our backyard all the time - I just love them! Their bright red makes me so happy on a gray winter day!
ReplyDeleteaccents of red and/or turquoise do it for me every time!
ReplyDeleteLove green though -and blue - i'm a color freak! I think I keep my own home so neutral because I just can't decide on color!
Peacock green, Vreeland red and midnight blue, preferably all rubbing shoulders with each other.
ReplyDeleteHello dear friend! I've missed you- finally figured out how to be a blogger...look out world! Loving the cardinal red! They say that back east red is wonderful to live with, especially in the winter because of all the snow- it reflects brightness; looks great in the morning and evening time. I love red! Big hugs and hope to chat with you again soon!
ReplyDeleteWe have cardinals in our backyard. Every time I see them I think of you. This print has your name all over it- pretty and happy! xo
