So, how about you, does fancy script put you in the spirit? Somehow it does seem that seeing messages written in a card or on a sign seem to be gentle reminders to find the true spirit of the holidays!
How quickly do you begin to lose that feeling and life returns to routine. I for one am going to challenge myself to hold on to the spirit and the magic of the season during the year ahead!
How do you plan to get in the spirit while there is still time?
Yes! Do hold on!
ReplyDeleteI remember when I first learned about calligraphy markers! I thought I had died and gone to heaven!
I always wish I had beautiful writing like this when it comes to the envelope addressing. Beautiful handwriting and artful scripts are such a special art.
ReplyDeleteI love messages where you least expect them... especially ones so pretty as these.
ReplyDeleteI am just trying to keep things slow, and be mindful of my thoughts. You got to stop the sneaky negative ones before they holdup their end of the conversation.
back in high school I became obsessed with calligraphy through art class, soon I was doing posters for the school all over! It's been so long I'm out of practice -maybe I should pick it up again!
ReplyDeleteMy mother has lovely handwriting and developed a special calligraphy to use while addressing my wedding invitations. Sadly, I did not inherit this gene. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI love calligraphy ( would love to take a class) and beautiful fonts! My handwriting is not what it used to been when taught in Catholic schools, perfect!
ReplyDeleteThe script is gorgeous! I love a fancy handwriting style. I plan to listen to lots of music to get into the spirit!

I love great penmanship and fancy handwriting. I took calligraphy lessons and was fairly good at it actually-however-it's all lost if you don't keep it up. YOU have wonderful handwriting my dear.
ReplyDeleteP.S.-The proper writing tool is key!
I also enjoy looking at great penmanship. My Mom has it, as does my sister. I didn't inherit it, however, I can make a great apple crumb pie. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful calligraphy!
ReplyDeleteI gave it a try years ago and took one class.
We both have spirit today, but mine is in a bottle. LOL... just kidding. xo
I wish, I wish I could write like that... the best I can do is choose my type font with care!
ReplyDeleteOn slow days in our office my graphic designer and I would play the game: if you were a typeface, what would you be? I always chose optima. She modern girl, twenty years younger, always came back to Baskerville! So much for type casts!
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays whatever type you choose!
Patricia,
ReplyDeleteI was a doodle obsessed fool early in life. Love these images. Wish I had the time to doodle now. Happy Holidays!

ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI like calligraphy a lot and I have gone a course in it this autumn. Now, it's only practice I have to do.
