Look how festive this October door step is! Funny how Autumn just makes me want to get out and give my front steps a full blown harvest. I always admire those that can rally to make an entrance. How about you, do you have a party outside waiting for guests or passer-bys to make a fuss over? This makes me want to have my very own Oktoberfest now!

This is very welcoming. We're headed into that time of year when all of the seasonal decorations come out. I keep small candle lights lit in all of my windows and a spot-light on the chimney- year-round. We get lots of compliments-and I think it's very welcoming.
I love that front porch..I have a pumpkin and pot of mums on mine, but I miss my old porch more room to deck it out. Nice crisp day feeling of autumn just finished my tea! Have a wonderful day!
Beautiful - the brick house sets off the pumpkins so nicely!
I dress our front entrance seasonally. We now have pumpkins and a wooden basket filled with those cute and funny looking gords.
This is so inviting. We haven't "dressed" our front porch for autumn this year because we are moving. I certainly plan to do so next fall!
I have nada but this is quite inspiring.
It's lovely ! this year I was thinking of doing a yellow theme instead of my usual rusts and oranges.. So festive!
How lovely and inviting the picture you posted today. It makes one want to ring the doorbell to see what wonderful folks live in that home.
That photo is SO inspiring as are many of my neighbors front entrances. Not sure that I have it in me yet but by Christmas I'll be in full swing!
I am doing good to undress fall from my yard. The down side to loving woody plants are the LEAVES they leave everywhere. It will take me two months of raking to say hello to winter without fall dropping by.
Our front is decorate with mums, gourds and pumpkins in various colors and sizes. We are getting ready for our annual Oktoberfest this weekend. I love this time of year.

PVE,
Great snap! Love the change in seasons both my brother and I have B-Days this month. So the celebration of Halloween sets the pace for holidays.

Nothing yet. But this year, I am considering a very sincere, small pumpkin patch. Or maybe five little ones over the doorway. (If the dove has moved on.)
Beautiful! We have one perfect cinderella pumpkin on the porch.
I always get the itch but since moving to warmer temps, I find that the pumpkins mold & I just don't get the same inspiration. I so love all the fabulous decor that others create. Such a fabulous time of year.
I find myself doing less and less holiday decorating, mainly special pieces. Autumn flowers, pumpkins, and candles really make me feel warm and cozy though!
It's so cute. I never read Better Homes and Gardens - but I randomly picked up this month's issue, and it has so many nice fall things! Maybe I need to rethink that.
Looks like the neighborhoods where I used to live in DC.
OOh, that's a great shot. Next year, I'm growing the big max pumpkins, warts and all! But yes, we grow our pumpkins in the front garden, and my daughter kisses each one when we walk up the path each day. Then they sit on the steps outside the front door until the squirrels eat them (which unfortunately happens much too quickly!)
I need to go get some pumpkins ASAP!
This picture makes me so happy!!
Patricia- thanks for stopping by my blog. PS- your profile pic is beyond chic!
What a lovely entryway- such a nice welcome for guests and trick or treaters on Halloween night
